My brother always played the fall of Troy in the car with his iPod and i this was always one of my favorite songs and I just now started listening to them and this is still my favorite song, amazing band

saw them back in the early 2000s in st. petersburg florida when i was about 18 and it was stellar. blew an amp playing ghostship part 4 and carried on like nobodys business. this song is still a banger and still one of my favorite bands.

It has been 10 years since I first heard this song. Just thought about this band yesterday after years and boy it feels like the same feeling when I first heard them. Absolutely wonderful rush of enjoyment from this band's music.

Right when I was beginning to trip (on acid), this song began on my iPod. That was one epic night, each succeeding song on this album narrated my night, and what a crazy trip that was! Scary, revealing, revelations, the whole package. By the night's end, I'd transformed for the better. Thank you, Fall of Troy.

Saw these guys play with Chiodos in Port Huron MI back in 2006. It was at a place called the Noruh Grotto and it was tiny af. There were hundreds of people at that show and maybe 1/3 of them fit in the actual building. Needless to say it was of the best shows I've ever been to. I was new to TFOT when I saw them live and holy shit... O_O These guys were amazing! Chiodos was the headliner but they stole the whole show in my opinion. They sound incredibly like recordings and they had a killer light show which was pretty cool to see at such a small venue. Awesome talent, its crazy to think that they are just a 3 piece and that the guitarist is also the singer!

i saw them live in 2006 at a small venue in Carmel, Indiana. Thomas(guitar/vocalist) was very irritated with the drummer the entire time. I think he was drunk, because he kept making mistakes. Anyways, they only played for bout half n hour, then thomas announces that they were only gonna play one more song, because their drummer was feeling ill. So, during their last song, thomas decides that he's had enough of the drummer making mistakes, so he puts his guitar down and walks over to the drummer and tells him to give him the drumsticks! lol. So, the drummer, gives thomas the drumsticks and then gets off the drum kit, while thomas replaces him and ends up finishing the remander of the song. lol. That's not all, the drummer, while thomas is playing his drum set, walks over to the mic, were thomas was singing and starts to scream hardcore style into the mic. lol. I think he was doing that to get back at thomas for causing a scene. lol.

This makes sense. The band has been pretty open about their drug and alcohol problems.. and the drummer was known to have an alcohol problem. Thomas the lead singer and main writer for the band is also known to have a superiority complex (which doesn't surprise me because his music is honestly fucking genius). Thomas is also a drummer first, and a guitarist second.. He grew up playing the drums and writes most of the drum sections and mos tof the music altogether. Great story though thanks for sharing this.

I can't remember specific dates or anything. The night is pretty much a blur for me (I got kicked in the fucking head) but it was both awesome and sucked. A quick google search seems to indicate it was 2006 and Thomas said it was the last show they'd ever play (I don't remember that part, for instance but the place was swamped, loud and I had already been kicked in the head by that time so I was nursing a headache. He might've).

All the bands ended up getting arrested right before they performed apparently (That was the word that swept through the crowd, no idea how accurate it is). I don't remember Heavy Heavy Low Low being there, for instance but apparently they were (They might not have got out on time, I only remember TFOT and TNTLLY). Anyway, a few members of all the bands made it to the set before the others and played together for a bit while they waited for the others. The place went pretty crazy when the other members got out and the show finally took off. The Basement is a pretty small venue and the pit was fucking crazy. It was a Columbus show where one of the members (Thomas, I think) trashed the fucking set and walked off after they were done. I remember him almost immediately being surrounded by people and I was just like, "Are you guys fucking stupid? Leave him the fuck alone. Did you NOT see that?", lol. People are idiots. That year was a shit show for them, apparently.

Edit; lol. Yeah, it was 2006 all right. Found a post that jogged my memory. Blackout Pact and HHLL dropped off before that show, TFOT and TNTLLY members played together until the other members got there, everyone eventually arrived and TNTLLY started their set and it was wild and amazing. I knew TFOT but was mainly there for The Number 12 anyway, TFOT being there was just icing on the cake. TFOT came on, Thomas was pissed at the start, the drummer fucked up the intro to the second song so they restarted. Thomas flipped off the drummer during the restart, trashed the set after that was done and stormed off. Thomas came on a little while after, did a solo song which was a Weezer cover, the other members came back and they did one more song and quit for the night (But indicated they were breaking up as a band, which they didn't do).

man i just read all of those comments you guys......sad but true, im 17 and figuring it out right now but ya know what iim not going to roll over and let life bite me in the ass...im in a band called cepheus and instrumental rock/metal band from southcarolina...just now hitting the studio with shows coming up and shirts and a demo album coming out....deff alot of hard as work but i owe the fall of troy as my main inspiration.

I guess it's just weird; I'm pretty much just a huge loser with an expansive music taste. There's plans to meet friends and perhaps make love (platonically, physically, it's all the same) but it's just all so surreal to me. Half the time it's myself being scared to act.
