Faith No More - The World Is Yours Lyrics
Keep your distance
You're in the race [?]
Caress me
In your eye I've got better things to do
This will hurt someone
Charity[?]
defenders[?]
Comfort me and bring me something sharp
This will hurt someone - someone else
This will hurt someone else
Calm down, Think carefully
Seen it all before
Mind your own fucking business
Seen it all before
What I would give for your eyes
You'd never blink again
Seen it all before
Faces on top of more faces
This bullet in your chest, the world is yours
Each word, you suck it through a straw
It's so predictable, it's policy
This will hurt someone - someone else

Why have I never heard the song before?? Holy shit this is good!!
budd was a good man
Sounds like a better version of Smaller and Smaller. I always thought Smaller and Smaller was one of the weaker tracks on Angel Dust. This should have been used in it's place. Next time I listen to the whole album, I'm going to try to substitute this for Smaller and Smaller.
The opening "Aim, Fire" sample is from a BBC sound effects LP called "More Death and Horror Vol. 2" Track is called "Firing Squad". I cleaned up my old vinyl of it other year, before knowing this was taken from the LP, and played it and immediately recognised this sample when it appeared.
Sounds like Tomahawk
MIKE IS GENIUS!!!!
We not gonna talk about how the description says lyrics: and then there is nothing

Perfect soundtrack for Clive Barker's novel Cabal.

Lyrics
Aim Fire!
(x32)
Keep your distance
You're in your league
Complain sparingly
In your lies
I've got better things to do
This will hurt someone
Why waltz without
Shit in hand
Complain,
Defend your lies
Comfort me,
And bring me
Something sharp
This will hurt someone,
Someone else
This will hurt someone else
Calm down,
Think carefully
Seen it all before
Mind your own
Fucking business
Seen it all before
What I would give for your
I've seen it all before
You'll never blink again
Seen it all before
Feces on top of more feces
This bullet in your chest,
The world is yours
Each word,
You suck it through a straw
It's so predictable,
It's policy
Ugh
This will hurt someone,
Someone else
Ah
Each word,
You suck it through a straw
It's so predictable,
It's policy
Crazy vocals on this track.
Always on my gym playlist.
Lmfao I could only imagine the record labels reaction hearing this and a few other song demos like seagull song right after FNM had a huge hit with TRT Hahah
yeah so what you expect? me going back to jerking off? hell yeah. I mean hell no. go ahead blame this shit on me
This isn’t on angel dust
Is but isn't - this was left off of the album because they had a hard time clearing all the samples used on a lot of the songs but it was written with the other songs on the album if that makes sense
Yes they played it live a few times in 91 too. Japan being one high quality capturing of it.
This was the best track! WTF? This song makes the whole album work.
This track deserves to be stuck in my shithole job for weeks.
fucking incredible song holy shit

I find myself listening to this song on repeat all day, cause it's amazing and I don't really understand why it was left out, but the audio sample from Dwyer's suicide makes me feel really sad and uncomfortable every time. I wonder why Mike was so interested in this type of dark and shocking scenery (given that he also included the video of Dwyer's suicide along many other *more* disturbing videos in his "macumba" compilation, which I haven't seen, and probably never will)
Mike Patton can't fail
I believe the song contains audio from a live suicide from a senator who took his own life on live t.v. Budd Dwyer Live Suicide.
Du grand Patton!!!
I love the fact that is was left off of Angel Dust, could you imagine the disappointment if this track was on there and RV was a extra track somewhere
C"mon sing it Bittch

This song should have been on Angeldust. It's easily good enough. It has a lot of samples and sound effects and sounds incredible through headphones. The fact that they cut such a strong track from Angeldust is indicative of the high standard of material they were creating at that time.
Agreed!
Agree."Easy" didn´t match w the dark vibe and was in the european version if i´m not mistaken
@Dean Smith bullshit. Some songs just don't make it period.
@g berry Or watch the interviews during and post the production of the album inwhich the band says they left a lot of material off because they couldn't clear the samples (shrug)
@Dean Smith I stand corrected.. sorry that was a Dickheaded comment. Makes complete sense. And I do remember the topic on the AD documentary. Ahh, The beauty of erasing my dumb ass comment while pulling the foot out of my mouth
i'm here because i've been reading up on Dwyer's death, and i'm actually really hyped that i found this rad ass jam. i've gotta listen to more by this group !!!
Susie Brown so I'm guessing you too watched the latest RCR?
Anslock nah, i was reading one of those "7 Creepy Things in History You Didn't Know Actually Happened" articles. i'll have to check into what you mentioned, though
Susie Brown oh i see... anyway that's a crazy way to end your life eh
Susie Yeah, his death is really tragic, especially since he was cleared of the charges. Faith No More is a god-tier band and I recommend looking into other projects by the members.
this track made R. Budds death globally known.. that a huge impact
Jim Martin....
Μυ ναμε ξεφφ
What a perfect sample. I just learned about and saw the Budd Dwyer video the other day.
TTOMO Yep! I had no idea that's where the audio came from.

Where's the Bud Dwyer part? "This will hurt someone". The audio clip of him warning the press to get back, right before he blows his brains out.
About half way thru where ppl scream no budd no and don't do it budd!! Sheesh. N as a person who was home from school at 16 for snow day n who my dad knew n died later that yr of cancer himself at just 46, he knew his innocence...but never got to see its fruition. Local ABC I worked in Hburg a decade later aired it uncensored n w/o warning a few times that day. Scarred a lot n unprecedented move to smaller kids, let alone adults!! He was framed n admitted so by William Smith, whose son is in Peruvian prison for chopping up his wife into a suitcase. Elder lying Smith tried to break his son out!!! It was a witch hunt to frame a naive but good man!!! He died in office to ensure his family would not be broke. He was a social studies teacher n high school football coach b4 politics after a trip to Poland at time made him interested in the freedoms of USA. I know ppl who were in that room (most now deceased), n his wife passed in 2009. Neither she nor his children have seen the video, ever!! Imagine PPL ALL OVER WORLD MOCKING IT, never taking time to know who he was n the innocent man facing 55 yrs for what, EVEN IF GUILTY, POLITICIANS TODAY DONT EVEN GET CHARGED FOR!!! I suggest you all who are so fascinated by his death learn his life n the setup and our HORRIBLE gov dick thornburgh at time who expressed literal GIDDINESS OF SENDING HIM TO SLAUGHTER WHILE HE WAS UNBEKNOWNST TO THEM, killing himself w/feeling no choice. I direct you to take time to educate yourself about a REAL MAN W FAMILY N FRIENDS WHO WAS LET DÔWN BY A GOVT HE TRUSTED.... It's a documentary called "An Honest Man: The Life of R Budd Dwyer". Plz ppl have respect. It still haunts me to know I watched unknowingly my dads friend die on TV that day. The fallout from the abc affiliate I worked at wHTM at time, now know as just Abc 27, it was TABOO TO BRING IT UP, a decade later.
Listen around 3:12. You'll hear it not long after that.
Budd was definitely innocent.
It's really sad. But at least his story made such an impression on people that there are even a bunch of songs written about it - I never learned about this man in school, had never heard of him before I read up on Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot," and I don't think a man like this should just fade into history without significant recognition. Meanwhile the only thing that William Smith guy will be remembered for is how he fucked somebody over and ruined a bunch of lives, and had a disgusting criminal for a son. (That's pretty much his whole Wikipedia page too, just a drop of piss in a bucket.) Live on, Budd.
@Missy Myers i appreciate your post. i have seen the documentary and vowed never again to view the suicide footage. i think of those things you've mentioned whenever bud dwyer's name comes up. he was a genuinely honest man who got horrifically screwed.
one of my favorite songs
One of the best albums ever made. Not a summer goes by that I don't listen to this one over and over. (Great album to mow to, by the way.)
King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime is also great to mow to
Same :) It hasn't aged a bit.
I like to mow over and chop up frogs while mowing and listening to this song.
i help old ladies across the street and do volunteer work for the local girl scouts while listening to this album🙂 it was always great to listen to back in the day when i was a young man🙂
R. Budd Dwyer
He was my mother's substitute teacher in Meadville, PA.
@Judson Brown he was a good man done wrong and hard by the system..i almost feel as if FNM should not have used that audio sample in this song...
@(((Only_ZuuL))) It sparked this interesting conversation though. Budd Dwyer was ultimately exonerated of all charges. His widow actually received the largest death benefit paid at the time because of this, but I wonder if he didn't commit suicide in a press conference and just waited to be cleared, we probably wouldn't be talking about him right now.
@Judson Brown yeah. he was up for a long sentence and also add to that, the fact that he was innocent..he freaked out and lost his mind, did what he did.
@Judson Brown don't you love how good music can be educational 🤩
This should've been used for a James Bond 007 film.
holy shit! I've never heard this one before!
@lowjamz828
Who?
@thecodkingSINCONER
Never heard of him.
+CaptainCorpulence Are you Serious? Or trolling?
it's "gem"
Look at his profile pic, he knows :P That is a young Mike Patton lol
Epic song...
