I'm not sure what the meaning is here but it seems to take country western stereotypical lyrics in reverse where the guy decides he shouldn't drown his sorrow in booze. Rather than making you forget your love, the booze often just makes you pine even more for that person especially when you wake up with a wretched hangover. I've played a solo acoustic version of this song for an audience with mixed reaction.

+TonysTwistedTake why is that Country western stereotype? I think this song resonates to ALL facets of class and creed. I love the fact u did an acoustic of this for a live crowd though. With this type of song u need to choose ur crowd AND moment though I think. 100% balls though /respect

Any FNM uploads are Strong. This one was always an IMMENSE heavy hitter on my heart on my youth but now it has a more poignant meaning as I have become an alcoholic in the last year. This tune has helped me resist on MORE than a few occasions TY FNM! love you guys. Still fighting it but doing better

+Cornelious Stratovarious Thanks for asking bro. It went ok. It was waaaaaay to up close and personal for my liking. People come up to you if your new and overwhelm you in a way. I'm in an outpatient rehab program at the moment and seems to be working better. It's still a struggle though.

Hey man, small steps. U feeling better so YOU are doing SOMETHING right. Just keep it slow and steady bro. As for the up close and personal ppl just be nice and friendly ( always remember some people in YOUR situation dont have the SAME situation. Nothing is 100% exact or copied), but let em know u dont like ppl getting close but you respect ppls feelings. I dont care if they say that is part of the program. Hugging strangers is BS. It wont help in the long term. It's an instant moment which in the grand scheme of things is irrelevant. The ONLY way for ppl to get through such things from my own personal experience is to find a healthy distraction like working out, drawing, painting, even forums giving advice to OTHER like-minded ppl to whom YOU can give advice. U cant supplement one vice for another. Just try to find an alternative. If you EVER thinking of venturing into something creative let me know. I am NO pro by any means but I would be very happy to help in such avenues. All the best : ]

saw them at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston when they were still relatively unknown , the club is small and you get in for 10$ general admission...they were the opening act for VoiVod. FNM were amazing...blew my mind. They became well known later in that year 1989.
