Faces, The - Last Orders Please Lyrics
Well, well, hello and how are you?
Fancy seeing you here.
Don't let it show.
No look, no one must know
Why! They're playing "Tracks Of My Tears"
Just pretend its all over,
Like you have for so long.
I thought time was a healer,
But i guess I was wrong.
I am to blame
But we were so young.
Oh, how was I to know?
But you said you still want me,
You opened up an old wound
And my minds black and blue.
Now you got yours, and I got mine.
And theres no debts or dues
Oh, what can we do?

Now you have sent me down a Faces rabbit hole you git !
I have always thought that this could have been a great C&W song or a deep soul number - it's such a great lyric. A great tribute to Ronnie Lane
Ronnie re-recorded it in a mellower C&W style in 1976 with Slim Chance. It was re-titled "Well Well Hello (The Party)".
I didn't like the other version, this is a v happy tune, great playing by all!
Reunions are very tempting though pointless. This and its ilk belong to another time. The Faces now would be another group. Thanks, Ronnie and the rest. RIP indeed.
Thank you.
