Vocals aside, blood in blood out doesnt compare to exhibit a or b just purely from a riff and production stand point imo. Exhibit a and b are some of the most aggresive and angry thrash albums ive ever heard hands down

I also can at least appreciate that this album feels like a return to form to the older exodus sound not even just with steve, but the song compostions in general. They have that classic vibe with just as much vitally and aggression as any other record they've done in the past

This was hands down the best pure/true old school thrash metal album released during the last several years. The speed, intensity, sound quality, tone, vocals, drums... everything is on point. And my God, the riffing just never ends. So many killer riffs throughout this whole album, imo one of Exodus' best ever, it's literally right up there in Fabulous Disaster territory.

Even if he did, can you blame him? He was unceremoniously fired form a band that he was a part of for several years, played with people that he thought were his friends.. then all of the sudden they weren't. That's a shitty thing to experience and I think Exodus handled this poorly.

+TheMetalWarrior1993 I actually agree with you. Sure it's got all the elements of thrash, except the catchy song writing. This in now my least favorite Exodus album after Force of Habit. It's okay when I listen to it, but once I'm done I don't remember a damn thing about it. I felt the opposite about the last Testament album, it had the catchy song writing but the album felt Sterile. Death Angel, in my opinion, has put out the best Thrash Metal album lately, followed by Overkill. I'm not the biggest Overkill fan(their first 4 are the best), but they've stepped up their game the last couple of albums. Tempo of the Damn had the exact opposite effect, it reminded me of why I fell in love with Metal, and the songs were some of the catchiest they've ever written.

+Christopher Rumleskie Nope, Force of Habit was the worst album. Although it had a few great songs, it was over bloated, and had two out of place cover songs. The album is over 70 minutes long, which is too long for a Thrash album. Gary Holt considers Force of Habit their worst album too.

Impact Is Imminent is wonderful. But give Exodus a break, you can only be original for so long.

Baloff , Souza & Dukes have all good for Exodus , yes I say all three have fit the Exodus sound. Not many bands can say either one of the three vocalists can just jump in and pull the other two guys stuff off....just sayin'.

 Ive seen Exodus Twice with Slayer...once with Rob Zombie in the mix up two years ago other one was this year in Philly and I gotta say...besides Iron Maiden...those two concerts were by far the best concerts I will probably ever see in my life. Pregnant chick got halled off in a stretcher and 80 people jumped from a wall to a high rise and it was 15-20 feet to the floor...watched a dude fall and eat shit. Kinda sucked but that made it even more brutal. Gotta go extra hard for that fallen soldier. 

Fuck yeah lol I saw them with Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies at the Forum in Inglewood and the pit that opened with the first riff of this song was ridiculous I saw a guy with a broken nose, some girl broke her ankle (like baaad), it was just a badass pit. I remember the whole damned crowd moved on the opening riff

Didn't like the intro at first, but this song grew on me, it sets the tone for the rest of the album. The record as a whole is a relentless brutal thrash fest full of awesome riffs and solos. In other words, it's a fucking EXODUS record, and we expect nothing less. Can't wait to mosh in the pit when they play Blood in Blood Out live. Welcome back Zetro.

Good one! But seriously, I've always had sensitive hearing, I always wear my ear plugs at concerts. Sometimes I'll hear the lightbulb we have in the kitchen hum when it's been on too long.
I can't imagine how that intro came to be though. Did the collaboration guy think it would add something? Was every single person who listened to this pre-release THAT far gone hearingwise?
