Every Time I Die - Organ Grinder Lyrics

You've heard the voice of God, solely.
Everything is so clear to you.
Reload for the greater good.
Focus.
Throw us at the feet of the fools.
You don't know how lucky you are that your life is so characterless.
All the worlds a cage and we are animals pounding at the glass.
Housebroken, declawed. Unaware of the threat.
Bull hooks that keep us in line while cameras flash and we play while the trespassers plot to collect on their debts.
There were eyes everywhere that I went.
You'll be found.
Mark my words.
You will be found.
Stripped down and held to the light.
You will be found.
They will narrow their eyes, take aim and bring the world to its knees.
You'll be found.
Mark my words.
You will be found.
Just because you have figured it out.
Doesn't mean it won't happen to you.
Just because you have figured it out.
Doesn't mean it won't happen to you.
All the worlds a maze and they are scientists plotting every move.
Big brother will keep us in line with his snipers on the roof.
Though I'm cautious not to draw the attention of the fiends, I'm the happiest sadist around once surrendered to the drink.
There was fire everywhere that I stood.

There was fire everywhere that I stood.
Just because you're afraid of the dark doesn't mean that its frightened of you.
Just because you're afraid of the dark doesn't mean that its frightened of you.

You've heard the voice of God, solely.
Everything is so clear to you.
Slow down your racing heart.
Steady.
Quickly or it moves out of frame.
We are nothing more than mannequins.
Everyone is put of display.
This will not pass in time.
The moment will not pass.
Caught in the act for our lives.
The moment will not pass.
The dark doesn't flinch.
Take heed.
The moment will not pass.
Cover your tracks.
We're sitting ducks.
The moment will not pass.
We are nothing more than mannequins.

Every Time I Die Organ Grinder Comments
  1. Adam Kovnat

lyrically, probably my favorite etid song.

  2. Jack Jackson

I think New Junk was one of their best albums (second only to Big Dirty). I wasnt too thrilled with their latest or Ex Lives, though I admittedly was turned off immediately by Underwater Bimbos (that chorus... ew...)
New Junk's got Organ Grinder, Host Disorder, After One Quarter of a Revolution, Goddamn Kids These Days...

  3. mnames456

@OddClouds  hahaha look what 2 years can do.

  4. OddClouds

I love Every Time I Die but they're not popular. No way any of them are 'going down' in musical history.

  5. popnotmyface

    The intro is so haunting...

  6. GhANeC

Just because you have figured it out...
Doesn't mean it won't happen to you...

  7. SourMoonBlues

Pretty sure this song is based on the book 1984 by George Orwell

  8. Matt Foreman

I came back to this album recently, and decided hit is my favorite song off the album. Awesome shit. Love the desperation in Keith's voice through the whole song.

  9. jake beanpole

This song just has, the best lyrics.

@krich451 Yeah, that's what I love with hardcore/metal (and it various sub-genres etc etc) bands, that their music is made from scratch and they've bust their asses off to make an album. Not like these "pop stars" like Brittney Spears, Rihanna etc, that get "their" songs handed to them. It really pisses me off that these stars get so much attetion for just being able to sing (you cant deny that some of them actually can do that) and these amazing bands (like etid) dont get that kind of attention

@JulyArises so true man, ive been saying for years that keith buckley (while not everybodies cup of tea) will go down in musical history as one of the greatest lyricisists the human race has ever seen. he speaks his mind but at the same time finds a way to be very poetic about it. as apposed to this bullshit music being shoved down kids throats these days e.g. lil wayne, justic bieber, ect.

  12. Edgar

Keith is an amazing singer, and the rest of the band are awesome musicians. every time i die is one of the few bands that I really feel emotion blasting out of the speakers rather than just music, you know :D

  13. ferrell gray

i've been trying to figure this song out on guitar. so fucking hard.

  14. pulmonarykid123
