Everly Brothers, The - Nothing Matters But You Lyrics

Since we met, I sit around and want you
I don't do the things I ought to do
I'm so in love I let the world go by me
Nothing matters but you
Nothing matters but you

Every dream I dream, I dream about you
Loving you is all I wanna do
I'm so wrapped up that nothing can untie me
Nothing matters but you

Most folks need a world to conquer
Something big to do
They don't know the worlds I conquer
When I'm kissing you

Let them all go chasing after rainbows
I have found my pot of gold in you
Your love is all I need to satisfy me
Nothing matters but you
Nothing matters but you

Beautiful Everly style song for it's soulful and sweet. They made their living singing in this style. God Blessed them with good voices that sang with perfect vocal pitch!

The best singer in the world, why haven't I heard this before. Beautiful just beautiful.

I find it incomprehensible that this was not released until then. I find it almost breath-takingly beautiful. No wonder Don got a little bitter and twisted when a song like this didn't even get released, let alone sell a million. His voice on the bridge shows so dramatically that his was a voice in a million. Sadly by1965 that was not important. People who were stoned weren't interested in beautiful voices, they just wanted noise, and there were plenty of not very talented Fender twangers with very mediocre vocals very keen to provide it. Thank you for posting, it is beautiful.
