To anyone that recently listens to this: although Evanescence called this song "So Close" and it is widely known as that, it is a cover of a disbanded group named So Close, the original song title being The Last Day.
This is similar to the song "Catherine" which is actually an unrecorded instrumental, but this particular track is either "Me in You" or "You Can't Kill the Me in You."
But since this song here is so known as "So Close, " people get butthurt whenever someone says it's called "The Last Day" 😂😂 geez, y'all have such thin skin if you let something like that get to you. Just call it whatever you want.

Since this song is written by Ben Moody and Will Boyd, it's a song about a guy throwing rocks at the window of the girl he likes but never told her how he feels about her and it's a girl he liked but never told her until she was leaving, " the last day" you know. To me this is what this song means.
