Evancho, Jackie - The Summer Knows Lyrics

Following this collaboration, Jumaane invited Jackie to sing the French lyrics for his vocal/instrumental recording of La Vie En Rose" which is included in his album "I Only Have Eyes For You". A beautiful sound with the trumpet intertwining with her voice. She does not enunciate her words clearly but she will learn that in time, she's only age 19 now and probably only about 9 years old in the above video, but her voice is lovely and she will mature in time. At the time of this concert, I couldn't imagine any child singer equaling this performance for it's tonal beauty, sensitivity and sincerity. Today there is still not one who is comparable. More than that, at age 19, Jackie has recorded and/or performed Opera, Classical Crossover, Jazz, ballads, early Pop, R&B, and most recently, contemporary Broadway with her latest album, "The Debut". She has an exceptional ability to adapt her voice to any genre she explores with innate interpretive skill and insight. To my knowledge, she is the most versatile young artist today.

Jackie is an exceptional child. She puts in endless hours of rehearsal, travel, grooming while still getting an education. Wow! what courage standing in front of thousands of people and beginning to sing while watching their faces come alive with love for you !

The music industry destroyed this sound in Jackie. Sadly. Forcing her to sing/sound more commercial, to appeal to the faster spending younger audience. Because, they licked their lips at the anticipation of this unique little songbird bringing in multi-millions for them for a long time. Now this amazing quality in her singing is gone. :'( Ruined Jackie for all of us.

Your wrong. She's growing up in her own way, natural. This is her destiny. I for one enjoy her diversity and watching her grow up right before our eyes. My daughter enjoys her music also. I don't expect her to live by my standards nor should anyone.

Your making this stuff up. Jackie is in command of her career and has creative control of her music as an independent artist with her own recording label, JE Touring Inc. She has not been "forced" by anyone, but determines her own direction. You may not like her choices, but that's personal with you having nothing to do with the industry. Further more, she hasn't lost the qualities of her voice that make her unique, but has improved upon them. It is even more impressive now at 19. You've obviously turned from fan to detractor because Jackie hasn't met your narrow expectations.

I heard the sonorous voice of a great female singer on my YouTube playing in my office-- sounded like age 33. Never heard her before. Incredible performance. Mature musicality. One comment above made me worry there could be some sort of problem she is faceing. I will pray all be well for her and thank her for sharing her beautiful gift with us all.

I'm ready for summer, and I don't mean metaphorical. I am ready for warm weather. This has been a hard winter, with colds and flu and nor'easters. Besides, I love walking in the woods. I love green forests as much as I love Forest Green (the hymn tune by Rafe Vaughan Williams). Are you familiar with the English melody for O Little Town of Bethlehem? It's also used with the hymns "I Sing the Almighty Power of God" and "O Spirit of the Living God". That melody is FOREST GREEN and it's the best melody ever composed. St. Louis (the American melody for O Little Town of Bethlehem) is very boring. Forest Green beats St. Louis to a frazzle!

I was so lucky to be there for the Orpheum performances. Jackie has brought joy literally to millions now. She remains a remarkable singer yet I miss the excitement her voice brought us in these early years.

On one of Jumaane Smith's CD's, Jackie is a guest vocalist on La Vie en Rose, well worth checking out.

When money walks money talks. Most of Jackie's earlier PBS specials material were on YouTube and then one by one challenged and removed. #VEVO paid for control of the performances and loaded them to YT sponsored by paid adds. #SME is playing a role in all of this. JE is getting screwed. Some of my favorite songs that have been taken off of YT are SE, Lovers, Dark Waltz among many others. I purchased all her DVDs. It's convenient to play the music while on line. What's wrong with the world's populations. A huge majority of it has never heard the name Jackie Evancho. Can they all be mad. WE live in an era of high tech equipment. Yet, most people only use small format digital players to watch video and play music. They are screwing themselves and they love it? During past years, I have recommended Bose Companion 2 speakers to use with desk top PCs. They still remain to be superior to all others I've heard. There is a lot of room to screw things up. The PC's audio AP must be adjusted correctly to provide realistic sound. Support Jacqueline Evancho or Jack's music by purchasing her stuff. Play it on quality equipment. So says FOX.
