A couple years ago Jackie Evancho wrote a song called 'Pedestal'. It was directed at a certain percentage of her older male fan base. It was Jackie giving them a very polite "middle finger". Us thinking Jackie fans applauded Jackies take down of those dictorial fans.

A tiny percentage of that group, were weirdo's. I won't get into details. But she had some issues with a few of her older male fans.
Her security people were aware of the few bad apples and were dealt with accordingly.

Some of these older men have become anti-Jackie. It is very obvious.

@Karen Gilburg She's 19 and has given no indication that she wants to pursue opera training. I've seen her sing live in concerts more than a dozen times. The last time was in 2019. After that concert my wife (who has a musical background) remarked about the same thing, that her voice is just so clear and pure. Almost beyond belief.

Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana...unless it's an aria from there that uses the melody, not sure how it goes, I usually listen to the Intermezzo...I never watched the opera, but heard ir sung, and there are often arias that use the instrumental theses, like the Pantomine in Hansel and Gretel, or whatever it's called..."When at night I go to sleep", don't remember the German title...at any rate, whether from the opera or not (or an more recent arrangement), I'm starting to realize that I don't always think about the vocal potential of some instrumental pieces...

This certainly is a beautiful rendition by Jackie, who has a gorgeous voice. The music for this song appears to be an adaption of Mascagni's Sancta Maria. As soon as I heard it, it hit me. I have heard and watched it so many times as Sancta Maria performed by Amira Willighagen at Canisius Church Christmas Concert in 2015, when Amira was 11. Please compare them. And she will see that yes she does need some instruction to make her even better, and she should have had it all this time. This woman, So Hyang from S. Korea is one of THE MOST technically perfect singers on the planet, and is not a super diva. She sings for GOD and to make people feel good, but... she had vocal coaching when she was in her 20's, which is when she started singing.....

Please Jackie... watch these and learn from this coach. So Hyang, which is pronounced as So HYUNG, she was first taught be Seth Riggs, who was Michael Jacksons vocal coach. No matter the genre you wish to sing, any vocal coaching, even classical will give you all the proper techniques you need to sing anything. This same from Korea cover many styles of songs, and even one rap/singing video. She currently has a 5 octave range, from taking care of hr voice, and lessons.

Every time I hear Jackie hit that last high note, I get chills up and down my spine and filled with joy. Jackie Evancho is the greatest bel canto singer in the history of the world, at least, she is the one I want to listen to.

I am transported in the few min. she sings! I am so confused like most I think. she becomes the music! then when it ends we see the little giggly little girl we all love so much. I have to believe we are in the presence of genus or something. Her voice is getting so I think she could injure or heal me. She is approaching high places that only dreams come from.

She's not a little girl anymore but a beautiful young woman with a sweet personality. If she still behaved like a child it would be odd.
