Was this on the B-Side of the single "On My Way Home"? I think her music was at its best during this period ('95/'96). "The Memory of Trees" was a masterpiece and this song should have been on it .

Nice change from her usual style...simple and sparse, and so honest and deep too. If she gets a little overcome by her own song, it's only fitting.

Totally agree.....caught myself singing along with "If I Could Be Where You Are" and choked {gasped and teared up} and wondered how even Enya gets through her own recording sometimes.

Several of Enya's songs have a very personal description of depression and despair. I think she or her songwriter must have experienced this personally, because you can see she feels it when she sings it.

love all of enya's music but ive been listening to this song a lot recently. If there was one famous person i could meet it would be enya she is such an awsome writer and of course there is the angelic voice.

I was listening to this song on a Saturday evening here in Chicago and first thing came to mind were those 20 children and 7 adults killed in a school massacre in Connecticut. Had difficult sleeping since last night.
