I have this cd and what a beautiful bunch of songs, harmonies and lyrics. Definitely, Emmylou and Rodney compliment one another when they sing, play or write the songs. A fantastic album although a long time coming, well worth the wait.

Never has the thread of two collaborators product been so suitable to each other as in this tune and the characters Jim Burden and Ántonia Shemerda. Cheers to all, including Willa-the original red dirt girl.

Credits  from the nonesuch records web site, Steuart Smith is in the Eagles, as well as Rodney's band Bill Payne n piano is Little Feat's player since thee beginning and played with many of Emmylou's late 70's recordings. Steve Fishell is hot band alumni from the 80's I think and was the steel player on Yellow Moon.

Wonderful song lyrics and beautiful chords. Emmy Lou and Rodney Crowell certainly  make magic in their harmony with their voices. Just a real fantastic union of these two musicians.

Emmy Lou has long been my soul mate - I'm digging Rodney too - together they make beautiful music.  I'm thrilled to hear the beautiful title song and can't wait for the whole album!

I will go see them July 1 when they are on the Gold Coast, Australia I can't wait.

Life does not get better than this. Listening to Emmylou and Rodney just makes my day.

I'm in. If the rest of the album is as good as this it ought to get nominated for a grammy. Emmylou is still the best and Rodney's no slouch.  Sounds like Ricky Skaggs on the mandolin.
