Boy, age has really dimmed her voice. Gosh Im 60 and she was older then I when I use to listen to her songs. Wonder how old she is?

@jef lynn No offence, its just her voice is not as strong as it was when she was twenty, whos is? She struggled to hold notes and hit notes, listen to her when she was in her 20's. This happens to ALL people so it's no wonder or mystery, I guess you still recall those you admire as forever young and hold them in your mind that way even thought we get older.

She was beautiful 25 years ago, but even more beautiful now. I love her.

I have to admit, I've never been a country music fan but, many many years ago I heard this song on her Elite Hotel album and I became a devoted Emmylou Harris fan. Have followed her from radiant black hair all the way to that amazing silver hair. Love you Emmylou and so thrilled to see you connected with the other love of my life, Brandi Carlile! Look at her younger pictures, she was going grey when she was in her late 20's. Some people just go gray really early. Wonder if it has anything to do with their nationality? Like im part French and my hair has always been sorta sandy, at 60 I have very little grey but my sisters that took after the Romanian side with very dark black hair turned grey in their late 40's.

As beautiful as Emmylou is and as beautifully as she sings, she can get away with letting her hair turn to gleaming white silver.

"One Of These Days" is one of my favorites from the "Red Dirt Girl" from Birmingham, Alabama, Emmylou! I guarantee that Gram Parsons is smiling, along with other giants including Waylon, George & Tammy, Johnny and June too. These were people that helped Emmylou get into the Country Western scene in the mid - late 1970's. Now that same Red Dirt Girl from Alabama is being honored by many young Country Swing listeners as they are enjoying, learning, experiencing from the old timey country and western artists. This new generation of what I call "Hollywood Country"music are the rage today, but let us all remember that others paved the road for them by paying their dues thru Juke Joints to opening for George, Loretta. Emmylou took this great song into my generation via local fairs, beer joints, small town bandstands, AM/FM radio.... Every True Country Music Fan needs to hear this one song that captures the very essence of real country music! "Many Thanks"!

Saw her perform at Stanford University about 50 years ago and had an opportunity to say hello to her on her tour bus about 10 years later. Her looks and voice have hardly changed over the years. She is very soft spoken and petite (and cute).
