Angelic voice with a pure heart. She invited my wife and I to visit after a show on her bus at a small venue near our home in the late 80's. I had to go to work, EmmyLou asked if we had kids at home and told Carol just go get them and bring them back to the bus so the babysitter could go home.

Everytime I run across this song by Emmylou, I always wonder why it wasn't a massive hit for her? It's wonderfully rendered by the musical version. Of course, it's impeccably sung by one of life's wonders as a singer. It's upbeat. I would have thought it would be on several playlists. Always a question what makes a "hit".

If you see what constitutes a "hit" nowadays, you can see why this isn't there. This is real music...

I go for months without listening to Emmylou, then something happens --I see a bluebird this morning --and pretty soon, an angel from heaven is singing, and I'm just a teary-eyed grinnin' mess again.
