joseph roache Actually, it was written by Allen Reynolds but I believe Waylon first recorded it.

hikeeveryday . I saw an interview with Waylon in which he said it was the favorite song he’d written. However, on the album I have, Allen Reynolds is credited as the writer as you say. Maybe he meant it was his favorite of all the songs he’d recorded.

In country music today there are rockets, fires, bombs, lights flashing...... this is an example of two people and their guitars putting out more fireworks than all that other stuff combined!!!!!!! Does the music make the friends or the other way around? Just grateful they are willing to try and then share it with us!
