Ian Brown is tone deaf with a terrible voice. I've seen Stone Roses many times live and would go again in the morning.
Even with his voice, the Stone Roses are the greatest band to come out of Britain since the Beatles/Rolling Stones.
Embrace are still a great band and his voice is more than doing the job.

There were a lot of shit bands in the Britpop era and this was one of them.

Wow this track is still awesome. I was so excited about their debut album. It was so hyped up and they were all set to take out Oasis. Never happened but they still have many great songs, perhaps they just lacked the image or aren't a great live act. Dunno never saw them live but great music.

I knew i shouldn't have listened to a colleague who said this was good, so ruddy dull...

I'm like 40 now and still remember listening to this being 21!
And I still feel the same!!!!!!
The music mirrored the youth of that time.
Now we have crap like stormsy or whatever the fuck his name his name is being ultra aggressive as a representative of young people's thoughts.
If that's how they feel..I feel sorry for them...I loved being young....everything was new and exciting.

PS i do love Embrace, but that Oasis shadow can never go away can it.
