Why do people pretend like they like this? Why? What even is "Emarosa" anymore? Deep down EVERYONE knows what this is.. This Music (and Peach Club for that matter) is soulless, disingenuous focus-group created music with no identity: Who's story is this? Who's passion does this represent? Do you REALLY believe THIS is the music that these guys want to play? THIS is the music of their soul?



I suspect not.



The record label is trying utterly everything under the sun to make Bradley Walden as profitable as im sure they believe "he should be". By all measures Bradley SHOULD be selling LOTS of albums, SHOULD be selling out bigger live-events, he SHOULD be a bigger "star", the obvious "scene Adam Levine". Yet, despite Bradley being a checkbox-card of 'front-man' traits, it NEVER comes together to make REAL music.

And its not for a lack of trying on the label/studio's part: They have tried LITERALLY everything to repackage Bradley as something they think the fans want to see or someone they want to 'buy into'. I cant think of any other band that has had SO MUCH effort put into their image, theme and presentation as Bradley era Emarosa. Further, Emarosa has been 3 entirely different bands across 3 entirely different albums. As a result, the band is a literal shell of its former self, and thats ok.. It begs the question why they did not form a new name and identity 3 albums ago? Why didnt they 'free' themselves from the past and become something NEW, that 'we' can understand?


"Emarosa" has been dead since the day Jonny put the mic down at his last show. and for all of Craig's sins, he has one thing you can never buy. One thing you can never 'create' in management meetings:


Craig has soul. Beautiful ,tragic soul that is shared with us all through REAL music.



Emarosa has "fans". It has "ride-or-dies". People WANT to like them, people that will be here no matter what lies the band tells them. "BROKEN VS. THE WAY WE WERE BORN" on God, is the song of my soul. Hopefully one day Emarosa will do something truly authentic to themselves, the talent is there, and its not *clicking* because there is 5 layers of fake on top of the real.

You typed all that to basically say "This doesn't sound like their old stuff. This sounds more mainstream. I don't like it." Most bands change their sound over time. Some quicker than others. This comment section makes it apparent that there are plenty of people who like this. Would be nice if everyone could judge music off it's own merits, instead of what's expected from the group performing. I love me some old Emarosa, and while I haven't kept up with them, over the years, I did stumble upon this song, and I gotta say I dig it. Very catchy, and there is plenty of emotion, in these words.

I have to say, I loved Peach Club and this song took me listening to it a couple of times because I was listening passively but now that I am actually hearing it, I love this song too. Bradley can sing his ass off and the instrumentals all sound great.

I hate Bradley Walden aka Paige ex boyfriend from total divas. He really pussyfied the band, nothing he creates can top *Relativly*. And none of his songs combined can top *the past should stay dead*. But he's a very great singer. I love his voice!!!!

Relativity was a ground-breaking album and the past should stay dead is my favourite song by them, but this a totally different band and sound now. that emarosa is past and should stay dead :)
