interesting-- I've never heard that particular version of the song. It wasn't JD & the Stamps singing background and he actually closed the show with it. Wasn't an encore version..because he never did encores. But the closing ramp came on as he finished. Later on he got more dramatic with it..so I guess it being a 1971 Version of the song..had to be Feb '71 Vegas performance.
