There's a channel here called Lost in Vegas that does music reactions, and they are pretty new to the genres of metal, only a year or so deep, I think. They haven't reacted to Elvenking yet, and I think this would be good for their first song. For crying out loud people, not all vocals are pop-ready and streamlined, yeah? One of the reasons I like Elvenking so much is that the vocalist is ready to experiment, and has a unique voice. Have you really nothing better to do than write immature comments on youtube videos?

I like these guys they have a unique style and the lead singer has a decent voice no idea what everyone is talking about

I undertand, what you are talking about but I think it's better they do it this way, There are so many band with harsh/growl vocals lately, either leading or just side, and sometimes it's better to listen to something with clean only vocals.

they're good but nothing they do will ever compare to Wyrd, that album is 10/10

It seems like their new stuff has simply lost all traces of folk and has just gone down the power metal route.. they don't sound unique any more!

@Alex Fitzpatrick The Pagan Manifesto is one of their best albums yet; it really does go back to their folk roots and you can really hear the sound they had from Heathenreel and Two Tragedy Poets in there. Their last couple albums haven't done it for me either because it was just power metal; and although it was still good, it wasn't really Elvenking. Listen to their new album, they're back at their best by the sound of it.

I think that Damna's voice is awesome. It is not fake as many singers have in live concerts. Damna and Aydan are the core members of Elvenking, without them it would not be the same band; whoever says that Winter Wake, Heathenreel and even Era are not great albums just because of the vocals obviously can't appreciate their unique style.

I also prefer Kleid from 2nd album but it looks that Damnagoras (annoying one) is very good songwriter so this is what keeps him in the band. Anyway, his vocals were passable on Winter Wake and Red Silent TIdes, but everything else is ridicoulous.

I agree about the vocals. It would have been an awesome band if they left the singer from the 2nd album. But for some reason the choice to bring back this annoying guy :(

Were you dropped as a child? This has it all, Elegance, Style, Badassery, it's a pity there are so many peasants on youtube with a poor appreciation for great music.

Maybe music isn't about how each part is exciting? Maybe something can blend well as a whole to make a great song, instead of chaotic mismatching parts where everyone is doing their own thing? I like this not because any of the instrumentals or the vocals are incredible, I like it because the song as a WHOLE is great. It doesn't need to be the fastest and heaviest thing out there to be good. It just has to be composed well.
