Elton John - Bad Side Of The Moon Lyrics
It seems as though I've lived my life
On the bad side of the moon
To stir your dregs in sickness still
Without the rustic spoon
Where the light has never shone
And the hermits flock like hummingbirds
To speak in a foreign tongue
I'm a light world away
From the people who make me stay
Sitting on the bad side of the moon
There ain't no need for watchdogs here
To justify our ways
The main cause of our stay
Exiled here from other worlds
My sentence comes too soon
Why should I be made to pay
On the bad side of the moon

Elton John Bad Side Of The Moon Comments
Wait...what? Paul Buckmaster died?
With hindsight of course... this is just plain over produced (strings, too much reverb) which is why April Wine's cover still stands as a fine testament to a great tune.
Yes, me too- the primitive patriarchal cavemen running the admiralty scam here put me on the bad side of the moon thanks to the satanic brotherhood of man and all the dick sucking money loving club members that put me there.... before I even had the fucking chance to know what the fuck was even going on- just done did it and thought not a God damned thing of it. May they all burn in the hell they created now.
The live version of this song is much better, needs no strings...
Horrible
April Wine covered it better
i only just found out it was a cover lol:P yeah.. their's is so much better lol
Toe Fat cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmKx2i5zXvA

I definitely prefer April Wine's 1972 version of this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK5VlKLrwgI
april wine did it better
yes they did.
are you canadian?
Who cares? Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote it!
What are they saying that sounds like "Goosa ma la"?
@Russ Wilson always thought it was itsa my life.Going to check....
@Russ Wilson I chercked under April Wine and it says This is my life, this is my life, this is my life, my life
This is my life, this is my life, this is my life, my life
@Eddy G's Music World People usually interpret it as either "this is my life" of "losing my life" - but you only have to listen to live versions to know it was definitely a non-word, transcribable as "Oosamalai"
It's my life
“Who’s in my life”
What a tune!!
Paul Buckmasters Orchestral arrangement of the whole album made it the success it was RIP Paul who passed away today xx
