Well, I'm from Mexico and to me as she sings this song is very romantic and with good sound.
accent, background music and arrangements make this song a great song.
I agree, I think it needs a more softer, more feminine/innocent and breathier voice to contrast the lyrics and create some irony. I tell you who I think would be perfect for this song, Sarah Nixey of Black Box Recorder fame..
This song is a bit disappointing after reading the lyrics and being impressed. I think someone else could do a better job with it. But then I'm not really a fan of Sophie for her music. Sorry SBE fans! Just being honest.

I'm a Spice Girls fan but I don't think Emma Bunton has the vocal range to have made this song any better in any way...

I want to slap in the face those at the labelmusic who take this decision... this song was the perfect 2nd or 3rd single... it has a real early 70s touch...it's pop...vintage softrock... some old rythmn'blues influences ...perfect...it's an abnormality in the usual Bextor style...
I like what she does most of the time...but here... it's even better
I hope that Sophie will make more songs in that style in the future...
