Whenever i find myself walking through a light snow i end up singing to myself...”dooon’t you know that i looooove you” without a thought behind it.

It would be amazing to have new music from Elliott, but given the circumstances and how hard it can be for people with such chronic psychological problems to even get their art out to the public; I am just grateful we have what we have and it is so legitimately pure. Rest In Peace Elliott.

The first disc is not only one of his best albums but an excellent album by anyone.
Larry Crane said that Elliott’s leftovers where better than most people’s best stuff.
It seems like he couldn’t get it wrong around this time.
Disc 2 is still great but I think this stands alone as a great album even it had been released as only disc 1.

This song is so gentle and beautiful, one of my favorite love songs.

Yea well new moon was a posthumously released album with songs during the mid 90s. Most from the sessions of his self titled album and either/or. This album I think is the one that has a different version of a song called pretty Mary k. I like this one. I think it was once was called everything’s okay. But I like it better than the pretty Mary k on figure 8

I usually hate the movies my teacher has been playing in class for the past few years. But I immediately appreciated him showing Up In The Air. Which has this beautiful song in the soundtrack.

its surprising, when an artist takes leave of this...some people talk about what a shame it is that yheyre gone..r.i.p..all that.. blame others for their passing out...it seems that they, the artists, dead in youth, just did what they had to do. the size of the catalog they leave behind,well..for us, it just has to be enough. it wont be more...and some times, when we hear a song they played, it is.

john stewart Meyer - Although I think we need to be objective and get away from allowing the circumstances surrounding Elliott’s last years and his passing which tend to affect his legacy from a critical standpoint... It’s also important to be accurate and objective about his passing. Elliott Smith died from exsanguination (blood loss) with two knife lacerations in his chest. That’s his cause of death. His manner of death remains undetermined. He didn’t “pass out”. He bled to death from stab wounds and either committed suicide or was a victim of a homicide. To be interested in finding out does involve asking critical questions about what happened. The case is still open and homicide has no statute of limitations. Jennifer Chiba has always been under a cloud of suspicion.
I can maintain my interest in his music and also hope that more definitive answers will be provided. Part of that comes from those who encourage the authorities to not forget about this case.
