i was going through playlists i made almost decade ago and found this. it brings back so many memories. i was so into this guy named peter, and at first he wouldn’t admit he liked me too. i remember sending him this video (and many more cause 16 year old me thought showing how i felt through sending music videos was a good idea) and slowly we turned into something. one of the best summers of my life. this song embodies my wanting him to notice me, and the playfulness and longing that came with it.

this song just reminds me of my bestfriend when we went for runs together and went to a club on wednesdays.. i still miss her... its been almost 5 years since we last spoke i still remember the lastday we spoke and i remember being angry. i wish id of been different but i cant change the past. she probably hates me from that day. i love this song so much the memories are amazing :)

As a fan if you listen to the finished body of Lights/Bright Lights and demo's like this, they don't fit. You can see a clear eveolution in her music resulting in the end product of the original Lights. Whilst these are nice song's they are the sound of an artist still evolving. They simply aren't good enough for an album, and also not indicative of her sound.

I belive that the label gave it to cute german singer called Lena Meyer-Landrut. Her rendition is different but also really good and you can probably get it on itunes. I recently discovered Not Following You and even though I don't really like this kind of music I can't stop listening to it. Imho by far the best Ellie Goulding song.

This & the other uploads are the only versions you will find with Ellie singing it, none for sale mefinks. There are ways to rip songs form youtube...so I'm told. Give a google i'm sure you'll find a way. Also I'm sure Ellie wouldn't mind. ;-)

I love this song because it reminds me of when I first heard of her after Lounge on the farm 2009. Its that folky sound you hear in this, "wish I stayed" and "roscoe". Pure innocence, so beautiful.
