Lyrics were lyrics, and music was low, it made a lot of sence

This is five zillion times better than the Frank Sinatra version. Ella is always impeccable.

exceptional , awesome and nobody can repeat this performance in this quality. It is one of my favorite jazz songs !

Ella would make anything sound great, but the accompaniment in this is exquisite. The trumpets/horns sound as if there are straight mutes on them in the first go round, and they are pulled off for her second time through the bridge. Magnifique.

Ok 1st I apologise for my ignorance...but who sang the original version of this song? I thought it was Frankie...but now I'm not sure since I see Ella's got a version too. Or did they both cover an even older version?

Virginia Bruce in the 1936 movie Born to Dance. Georges and Jalna Toregas also danced to the number as an instrumental in that movie.
