Didn't catch it the first few listens, but pretty sure this song is about autoerotic asphyxiation.

+Chap Arst I was wondering about that b/c at first I thought it might be about using heroin(cotton ball, belt, can't move, speak, and the thought of death but coming out of it). But I think your assumption makes more sense now that I've listened to it a few more times, def interesting. Crazy lyrics though and solid song.

+Chap Arst Matt has said it's a song about a fictionalized self-aggrandizing "rock star" in his hotel room just going nuts. So yes, autoerotic asphyxiation is definitely something referenced in the song. Matt does such a good job painting such precise, esoteric pictures with his words and the stories he crafts.
