Eisley - Drink The Water Lyrics
Little wicked boy, come out and shake my hand
I come from where you come from , I’ve seen what you’ve seen
Come lay under my wing, fade into the night
I love you, I can save you if you believe
Drink the water from the mud
Tell me that you don’t belong little boy
Tell me that you don’t belong
Little impish one, remember what we planned
We won’t hear whistles calling when we are out to sea
Come lay under my wing, morning’s over the shore
I love you, I can teach you if you believe
Drink the water from the mud little boy
Tell me that you don’t belong little boy
Tell me that you don’t belong

Eisley Drink The Water Comments
Probably the best song on the album - and this lineup no longer exists - what a shame.
Still come back 6 years later. I will never forget this song.
I come from where you come from I've seen what all you've seen.
First heard this band from randomly clicking on this video years ago, extremely glad I did
Come lay under my wing, mornings over the shore
watch this on acid
I've been into Eisley since the marvelous things EP. Haven't listened to them in years though. I'm really feelin' this album!
secret and lies bring me to this.
sounds like they collaborated with Nujabes, the honey trees and the cranberries
loving it
Love this!
Secrets and Lies brought me here!
Sad song but lovely
I just saw them for the first time on TV last night & I'm already addicted. Buying the album!!!!
this song is still perfection
The beginning sounds like a Disney movie! Love it
I love seeinh Eisley evolve from what they used to be.
Seeing them live in a few months. Can't wait.
I'm going to find the nobs who voted this down and skullfuck them into oblivion.

Invasion gives me chills everytime I hear it. Great song-writing. Talented, wonderful, musicians.
Eisley is great! love this band.
In love with this. Eisley <3
People are really comparing this to Room Noises? Wow.
A karaoke version of this song definitely needs to be made.
Well that's awesome your a true fan. If i would've heard of them before that night, i sure would've stayed all night long if i had to, no doubt.
This is a really special band.
I luv!!!
I love this song! :)
Gahhh! i almost saw these guys in concert but the band who played before them were so bad and it was so late we just left. Thanks sucky band...
Now this is some real music, I think.
I’m so into EISLEY, I’m Tubin’ em all day, & on every 1 enjoyed, I’m shamelessly inviting other fans to check out my orig. comp. DON WHITE NOT ALONE, & help push it over a 1000 as I begin recording others in a new studio setup. The vid & song r testament of what can be done w what you have at your disposal, & it wasn’t much. The good feedback I’ve gotten’s been an inspiration to next level it. I sincerely hope you dig it, a relatively feel good tune from my catalog. Best to you & yours.
This makes long time fans so proud!!!
I thought everyone who was saying the picture was moving was on drugs or something but I see it!
God. And to think the first time I heard Eisley was like, late 2003 walking through my college café and they were streaming them on some indie show. Almost 10 years o.O Happy to see they're still going!!
For some reason this song reminds me of Skull Kid.
This is mesmerizing. I love when women vocalist rape my ears like this.
firstly i heard his voice i was remember yuna(yunaliszarai)
Eisley revealed that their old record label restricted them a lot, in sound and style, while recording Combinations, which is why they left WB (I believe that was the label) and signed to their current one. Either way, I think Currents allowed Eisley to be fully in charge of their creativity. They didn't have any pesky label telling them how to sound.
I was stunned at first - this one is quite a departure - but thanks to songs like this one (the third track, I think) I've come around on it - this is easily their best since ROOM NOISES. I liked the last two, but this is the first time they've really branched out since RN.
I think Combinations might be might favorite as well. It's so short though, so I think the Valley might be their best record yet (as a cohesive whole). Currents is still very uneven for me so far though I think it best represents the maturation of their sound and musical direction.
Am I the only one whose favourite album is Combinations? Maybe it's because that's the first Eisley album I ever heard, but I fell in love with that album and it's still my favourite. I am very much enjoying Currents too though.
I've been diehard Eisley. I used to follow them around during the EP eras, the Room Noises. They've always been great, but admittedly... something was remiss this past album. I'm so thankful for this current sound. It's been utterfly blissful, like I've been transported to that past time and era that was wonderful. I love this song, this album.
this is pretty good ! :)
The Valley was something totally different to their previous albums and that's what I loved about it. But I also love that they brought out Currents with their older style and still managed to produce new sounds and beautiful melodies. In my opinion all their albums seem to be brilliant in their own individual ways, yet they all distinctively sound like eisley and only eisley. I hope people realise how talented this band really is! So underrated.
Dat Voice!
Dat Bass line!
I felt the same way. Only a few songs grabbed me off of Combinations and The Valley. But Currents brings me back to what Room Noises made me felt. I remember being young and discovering their whimsical sound for the first time. Good to feel that way again.
this song is just perfect
amazing.
As soon as my paycheck comes through I'm buying the album.
you dont even sound cool.that is just lame and cheesy.im embarrassed for you.
Moss Eisley sure has come a long way.
Yes I felt like that, too. Room Noises was such a great album. Though I liked Combinations as well. The Valley was where they lost me a little. Currents is awesome!!
Currents is far more superior to their last two albums. For me, the last two records were somewhat of a disappointment for they didn't move me like Room Noises did. The first album is a gorgeous gem, and Currents is right up there as well. I feel like the band has finally evolved into a mature and beautifully melodic band that they've been striving to be. It's the perfect time for Eisley!
Sirens song :)
its also a plus that this song goes well with the habitual marijuana partaking.
is it weird that I'm a guy and completely dig this. soo groovy and their voices are mesmerizing.
Either I'm high or that album art is moving.
beyond words... welll my words at least...
beautiful!!!
1000th like :D
I have been a fan since the beginning and it warms my heart to see you guys still going! You are in of the biggest inspirations I have in creating my own music! Not to mention all if the hard times your songs have pulled me through! I can not wait for this album and many many more!
Clicked on this after listening to some hardcore stuff and seeing it on the side bar......didn't stop listening until the song unfortunately ended...
So insanely awesome.
Wow I can't wait for this album. I am absolutely blown away.
Man. Those feels are real^^
cant wait for the new album :')
holy stinkin' amazing song.
NO YOU'RE ON DRUGS.
lol, jk. Yes, I'm pretty sure everyone notices.
Never been a huge fan of female vocals, but this is fantastic!
this deserves a lot more views...
ohhhh i get it .........currents so the video is like a current
Finally! I've been waiting for something to be released by them since forever. I love them to bits!!
I've listened to this song so many times that I decided to kick in $40 to the Eisley Kickstarter!
ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE ALBUM ART PART IS MOVING LIKE WAVES????
I always seem to find great music at 5 in the morning.Sigh
This is really good!
This is the first song I've heard by Eisley and I've gone on to listen to a few others and, I have to say: they're great!
As I listen to "Drink the Water" and "Currents" I cant help myself, but to get excited for this album. The experimentation within these tracks is outstanding. It seems they might have shed some of the "pop" they had in their previous works and created a more ambient, oceanic, and atmospheric feel to their music. The feel could be due to the album being titled "Currents", but I am interested to see if the rest of the album follows this. If so, this may be one of the best albums of 2013.
Oh, God, such a good sounds!!! I can't wait!
Love the keys in this tune.
can't wait for the new album :)
this is so beautiful, cant stop listening to it
holyyyy shit. Im hooked. I mean i am fucking HOOKED.
well damn. i think im joining you on this
I'm really liking the sound of this new album! It's different, but I like it. So many of my favourite bands have been 'selling out' recently, in my opinion, and deliberately making music that will appeal to the masses so it will sell more, and therefore losing their own sound. But Eisley haven't done that at all, which I'm so glad about!
I don't know, but this song gives me such a relaxed vibe
Beautiful, as always. Can't wait to hear the rest...
The perfect combination of Room Noises and Combinations. Love this group so much! <3
My years-long love affair with this band continues.
New album sounds AMAZING!!! Can't wait
