I mean to say this song has been out for over 8 years, I had never heard of the Eels, and after many hours playing FC5 I heard the song on a car radio. Great song and the video looks to be the actual recording of the song, artful or authentic I dig it.

Once I heard this for the first time in Driver San Francisco I thought it's some 60's or 70's rock song, and it's from 2009, good job guys on bringing that vintage feel

You know, you know something that pisses me off. People who assume this song is about being in the friend zone. You know you can be friends with a person and want to spend time with them, and be there for them, without wanting date them.

Then you wouldn't be in the friend zone, would you? You would just be friends. The circumstances are not the same.

I think people are saying that it's about being in the friendzone because of the context of the album and the other songs on it. After all, Hombre Lobo is "12 songs of desire" so it could be about somebody being in the friendzone and wanting to get out.
