I don’t think they are using autotune. I think there’s just a lot of production going on. This is a very overproduced track. I think that’s why people don’t like it. It evokes memories of my childhood, so I don’t have a problem with it.

I wasn't talking about the others...just strictly Nicole. My goal was to point out that she does not need Autotune. And yes, I agree that a cover should always do the original justice :) anyway, whether they toured or not (and they did with the likes of Jessica Simpson and N*Sync who were extremely popular at the time), you can still familiarize yourself with their (well, Nicole's in particular) vocal profile :-D

Here's the thing... Nicole exited the group the same year they started. And if you listen to them sing, hands down she would have been the strongest one. She can belt!! However, the production makes them sound awful. I stick to my statement that if you're going to remake a song, make better than the original. And ignorance is the case, then perhaps I should educate myself, and hear them sing live on one of their sold out tours....oh... wait.

Nicole Scherzinger, a former member of this group, is a classically trained musician, not to mention a trained musical theater actress...she has no need for Autotune either (not to say that she has not used it before). Also, in order for these women to have been a part of this group, they had to sing 100% LIVE during their auditions. It's imperative that one does their research before they formulate any sort of opinion that may or may not make them seem ignorant.

Well for one, I have accomplished every goal that I have put before me. I was the first o new in my family to go to college where I have a degree in Speech Communication. I have played Tom Collins in Rent. I am a drummer (which is why I prefer the original version). I am also a trained jazz vocalist so unlike the girls on this track I have no need for autotune. I may not have released a poorly produced track like this but the beauty of it is I don't to. This song is still poorly done.

I think they covered this nicely, remember it's a cover song which means their take on it, comparing it to the originial isn't entirely fair.

This is garbage. Poor production, and weak vocals. And what's with the backing echo of some one talking? The sound like they are talking into a phone. This is downright sad....If you can't do the song better than the original then you shouldn't remake the song. Terrible.
