Eddie Money - Rock & Roll The Place Lyrics
Everybody rock and roll the place
Hey hey!
I sit at home all day watching the TV
With my baby, pretty is her face
We'd go out and rock and roll some place
Hey hey!
Glad you all could make it, welcome to the show
I see the lights, wanna rock and roll
Now it's back to back and face to face, oh
Everybody rock and roll the place
Everybody rock and roll the place
Said, everybody rock and roll the place
Good golly, rock and roll the place
Talkin' to you
Oh oh
Glad you all could make it, thank you for the show
I see my wife, she's a-got to go
But it's back to back and face to face, but
Everybody rock and roll the place
Everybody rock and roll the place
Everybody rock and roll the place
Everybody rock and roll the place
Hey hey!
Hey hey!
Ooh now
Everybody rock and roll the place
Come on!

Eddie Money Rock & Roll The Place Comments
Saw him at the Palladium in NYC, promoting the first album. He must have run behind the entire width of a large stage to gather speed, because he SLID about 20-25 yards on one foot, landed, flicked a cigarette into the air and launched into this song. Best R&R stage entrance I ever saw!
I heard that opening lyric = that was it. He OWNS that line !
Even now - decades later - I smile at that the audacity of that line.
Ah ! The fun of going to a crowded club filled with die hards !
Forever!
Love this song gimme some water is another favorite
Great song. RIP Eddie!
...🎼🎶🎵🇺🇸💝. Thanks. BOBZGT🏁🍀. 😀
One of his BEST tunes!!! This and "I wanna Be a Rock and Roll Star"!!!
All I think of is Johnny Fever throwing a dart through Barry Manillow's nose rocking to this song on WKRP!
would have loved to go to one of his shows and have him open up with this song to get everyone in the mood for ROCK & ROLL!
Saw him when he didn’t even play this song! 🙁

Where The Jimmy Lion?
EXCELLENT!! Thank you for sharing!!
I think between Squire or Money, I would pick Eddie Money,
his songs that were not hits, were still realy good, but Squire hits
were his only good songs.
how come almost nobody heard this song, ashame
because radio for the most part was/is controlled by corporate dimwits that only want to promote what sells, and not the actual great music that is out there all over the place!
Daniel Mele Listened a lot !!! the whole album is great! !!
I have heard of it, although years later. I first heard it on the 2001 The Best of Eddie Money. There is a live, previously unissued promo version there (1979).
Buy the Cd. Thats a sure way.

It is on the 2001 "The Best of Eddie Money"; there is a live, previously unissued promo version there (1979). Also, it is on the 2003 "Let's Rock and Roll the Place." and the 1979 "Life for the Taking" (in LP, 8-track, cassette formats only), Eddie's second album.
