Eddie Money - Let Me In Lyrics

Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in

Oh-we-oh
Driving through the city as I look out through the window
Wondering what it's like to be sleeping on the outside
Watch me take a picture, of the places I've been hoping
Through the mist, thought you looked like someone I remembered
Someone I remembered
Look at hustler walking like she knows somebody's walking
If I try to talk to her, I wonder if she'll know me
Come on take a pill baby, won't you take a ride in my car
Maybe you can show me how we lost what we believe in

Just let me stay here, I'm running from I don't know
Just let me stay here tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight

Hey Oh (Hey Oh)
Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Oh (Hey Oh)
Yeah Yeah Yeah

I know it's been awhile, and the years have been unfaithful
Is there nothing left for me that even looks familiar
Everything was easy, when we thought we had the answers
Why you looking at me like I'm?

Just let me stay here, I'm running from I don't know
Just let me stay here tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight
I won't hurt you, don't stop me, just let me stay awhile
Just let me stay here tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight (Just let me stay here tonight)

Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in

Just let me stay here, I'm running from I don't know
Just let me stay here tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight
I won't hurt you, don't stop me, just let me stay awhile
Just let me stay here tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight

Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in
Oh-we-oh, my love say no, that you can let me in

  2. Summer Rose

Love this song so much ! You took a huge piece of my heart when you left us Eddie Tears and Love Always !

  3. The Real Music Observer

Another Eddie song with no radio airplay even though it's as catchy as hell. RIP Eddie. Radio should be kinder to you and all your efforts.

  4. Adulteducation8

One of Eddie's best. Perhaps if this was the follow-up to Walk On Water instead of the inferior The Love In Your Eyes, it could've been the hit it deserved to be. The subject matter, the thick as f-ck bass, the guitar riffs, the sax, the back-up vocals by The Waters, Eddie's down on his luck, pleading vocal - it all comes together. Ranks up there with Baby Hold On, Two Tickets,Maybe I'm A Fool, and Trinidad. I wish to God he was still with us, I really do.

  10. VetteKid

It's funny how you live with someone's music from their start but don't realize how good they are except for the few top of the chart hits you remember until you revisit the recordings and get a new perspective on them 40 years later.

  11. Jason AZ

  17. Annie Rodriguez

    one of my favs

  18. Eleanor Lasater

I first remember hearing this song as a teenager, when cassette singles came out, this was on the flip side of one his big radio hits....although it's been too many years, I can't remember what was the other song was. Anyway, when I listened to this song, I was blown away and mesmerized by the sound, groove, lyrics.....and, I played it over and over.. Love Eddie Money!! I got to see him in concert a few years back at a local casino!! Omg! It took me back to my teenage years!!! ...... This song is so underrated!!! <3 <3 <3

  19. Terry Murray

laura branigan has a version that is pretty cool ....give it a listen

  20. Xennial Hipster

I first got the Nothing To Lose CD in the early 2000s, and at first this didn't click with me, but I love it after listening to it enough. It's one of Eddie's more unique songs that should've done better, since it has a little new jack swing/R&B vibe that was popular in 1988.

  21. Mr. Chip

1 person does not want to let me in

  22. Mario ResortServices

    Very cool song!

  23. Freddy Matuszak

    love that fucking song!!

  24. ClassicTVMan1981X

I suppose this album marked a new low in Eddie Money's career simply because since it was released in 1989, rock 'n roll music was no longer in favor and this song (among others) had a more R&B vibe to it (and thus "New Jack Swing" was catching on in that category - this tune suffers from it).

    Michael Ackerman

Have you ever written a song? Why are you hating on Eddie?? Let's hear a song you wrote and compare it to this one

    ClassicTVMan1981X

Perhaps the same could be said for other artists that embrace a new musical genre. Not really hating the man, but that's just the way that it _sounds_ to me.

  25. ClassicTVMan1981X

The radio announcer says: "You're listening to the man with no control who loves his rock 'n roll, the Money Man."

    Mike Rundberg

That radio announcer is Eddie Money

  26. ClassicTVMan1981X

3rd release from his 1988 album "Nothing to Lose." Was a Hot 100 hit ending its run at number 60 the week of 5/13/89.

  27. matt Hoe

Eddie money the man that looked forty until he was forty legend

  28. viperfishsasori

I love this @^^#$ tune! When it came it they never played it! This tune rocks!

  29. DialecticKaos

Why so depressed Graeme? Missing Phil? I wondered what had happened to him after he abandoned your blog.

  30. GMBCATASTROPHE

She's married to that bloke that invented the "wall of sound".

  31. GMBCATASTROPHE

Whenever I get depressed its time to talk to Aunty Eddie.

  32. GialloHorror

Isn't that chick the same girl from the "Walk On Water" video?

    GREAT SONG!
    EDDIE MONEY LEGEND!
