Eddie Cochran - Three Steps To Heaven Lyrics

Now there are three steps to heaven
Just listen and you will plainly see
And as life travels on
And things do go wrong
Just follow steps one, two and three

Step one, you find a girl to love
Step two, she falls in love with you
Step three, you kiss and hold her tightly
Yeah, that sure seems like Heaven to me

The formula for Heaven's very simple
Just follow the rules and you will see
And as life travels on
And things do go wrong
Just follow steps one, two and three

Step one, you find a girl to love
Step two, she falls in love with you
Step three, you kiss and hold her tightly
Yeah, that sure seems like Heaven to me
Just follow steps one, two and three

Classic Eddie , the one and only , it's hard too believe he was only 21,when he died , he wrote , so many of his own material, his last performance , was in England, where he died in that car crash, and this song went too the top .his girlfriend, Sharon sheeley , survived , the crash along with his good friend , Gene Vincent, and Eddie's good friend , buddy Holly died the year before , in that plane crash , so ironic , and sad ..for me Eddie and Johnny burnette , where the best, and Johnny died so young too , but there all together now , and singing.and happy.thats what I believe.🌟✨🌟.

  19. m.... m....

One of the all time greats, maybe as big as Elvis if not taken early

    m.... m....

Agree. Eddie was such a superb musician and multi-instrumentalist. He had an ear to pick up the changes in music. I feel he might have gone down the Chet Atkins path as a producer with a second sucessful career with guitar instrumental albums. He seems to have been heading that way and there was also interest in him from film producers to appear in movies. One thing is for sure, he would not have faded into obscurity, he was the ultimate musician and would have been involved with many projects.

    m.... m....

Let's not get giddy shall we.

    V.... B....

Em 17/04/1960: Eddie Cochran morre aos 21 anos em um acidente de carro, quando um pneu estourou e o veículo colidiu com uma árvore. Estava acompanhado de Gene Vincent, que sofreu apenas alguns ferimentos.

Awesome always loved this song ❤️

  32. B.... A....

Eddie Cochran had everything, charisma, great song writing and  guitar skills, attitude and originality. What a great talent!

    B.... A....

The late great Jack Good said that Eddie could have really gone far with acting too. There was talk of him appearing in a John Wayne movie. Dear Ed will always remain in the land of "might have been" i'm hoping that this film called "The Boy From Bell Garden's" gets made. If anyone has any news on that, please share. Thanks.

  33. C.... R....

Bring back the rockabilly sound, another timeless classic

  34. M.... R....

    Heel gaaf nummer !!!

  35. M.... D....

  36. A.... O....

The backing on this song is by the Crickets Jerry Allison,Joe. B.Mauldin and Sonny Curtis on guitar

  37. a.... b....

    What a POWER!

  38. S.... C....

He was the real first Elvis- they stole his persona and gave it to Elvis. He was Grooving Before Elvis Beatles Stones Roy Orbison Jerry Lee Lewis...

    S.... C....

Eddie was in a western swing duo, The Cochran Brother's when he was a support act for Elvis. He realised that this was the path his music needed to take and changed to rockabilly. I'm a big Cochran fan and I recognise that Elvis was the cat who influenced many young musicians. Buddy Holley also changed musical gears after seeing Elvis perform. His influence can't be denied.

  46. b.... f....

    Dear Karen:. Thanks for
    saying so. "As life travels
on and things do go wrong"
I thought was a funny way
    to put it.

    b.... f....

Dear Bill, i'm sure we can all relate to those lyrics. Its just "life" is'nt it? and like Eddie wrote, you never know whats around the corner. I'm just so pleased that many people still appreciate Ed's music and a lot of youngsters are finding him on YT and loving this fantastic musician. All the Best to you.

Nice to see on the pictures at the beginning of the song the great Brian Bennett on drums, must be pictures from Eddies British tour.

    G.... T....

Brian thought Eddie was a great musician who taught him new drum patterns because Eddie was a drummer as well as a fabulous guitarist. Ed's influence on Brian, Joe Brown and Big Jim Sullivan can't be underestimated.
