In any case, NRJ only specializes in cloned songs, dance flor, with a lot of bass without originality and aimed especially at teenagers who have no musical maturity, it's their business. Here at REUNION island is the daily unpacking of songs nullissimes that loop, it's hopeless.

Growing up listening to this album in 1981 i was in 7th grade EW&F definitely took it to another level finally seen them live a few years ago with new members shook their hands while walking off stage!

This is a gorgeous song. They just kept getting better and better.

To me, this was EWF's last solid album. Not to mention their best imo of the '80s decade.

Earth Wind and Fire's My Love song is nice. Music rappers Paris and Kam sampled this on Ain't No Love song on Paris Sonic Jihad album. Earth Wind and Fire's Raise album is a classic. I like the album pictures. RIP Maurice White. I miss you. I love Earth Wind And Fire. Al McKay left Earth Wind And Fire left after Faces album that came out before Raise album. Johnny Graham left Earth Wind And Fire after Raise album.

From a lot of comments on here,I don't think a lot of casual listeners to EWF have heard their 1981 album Raise!. It starts with their final iconic crossover hit in "Let's Groove". But that is not the best song on the album even. It has some great variations on the boogie sound such as the amazing "Lady Sun","Evolution Orange" and "You Are A Winner",new wave rock inflected numbers such as "These Changing Times" and mid tempo ballads like "Wanna Be With You" and this one.

I have wo copies on vinyl of all of their albums. I never thought Lets Groove was close to the best song on this album. You Are A Winner and The Changing Times are my favorites

Powerlight is far more innovative in every ways, Raise is just ok.

Both of them is a masterpiece but I can agree with You. Powerlight is more sophistcated and since it is slower more elegant. EWF is the top of popular music in my opinion. The complexity on can compare with classical music. No wonder EWF has a comlpete symphonic orchestra behind the scenes. I wish I would have enjoyed a concert in a concert room with everybody on the stage.

I remember when I first heard it on the Raise album in the early eighties...preying it would be a single but it wasn't and only released as a later flip side if I remember right. R.I.P. Maurice you gave us all such wonderful music and therefore timeless memories. We'll miss you.
