I just read Maurice White's biography - it brought a million things to life...

If you had this album from day one and you listened to it over and over. Then maybe had to give it a break for a bit, then a new album came out, then you played this one again and again. Then you played both then the 3rd came out and you had an incredible playlist that you never had to rest. Just kept it going all into the 80's. Well if you did and you were a true fan then to this day when a some comes to an end you can hear it song the song that is coming up next. If it's on the radio and the song ends, I start singing the next song like it's going to play.

Its truly amazing about Earth Wind & Fire. They put out a compilation of their hits while they are working with David Foster on the 'I Am' album. And this song and "September",apparently for the sessions for that release but brand new to the collection at hand,themselves both sound like greatest hits. Earth Wind & Fire were beyond making hits for just the radio or the charts. Their funk and ballads always hit the heart,mind and soul 100%. RIP Maurice White.

@E maurice white wrote in his book that these songs are from the i am sessions. love music, september, night dreamin', demo, dirty, dirty (interlude), where do we go from here (this one re-recorded for the promise album). it's likely that they have more unreleased songsthat i'd like to listen to.

@E one session, two albums. they released the best of vol. 1 and then they finished the session and released i am with most of the songs.
