This album led to Costello, the Beatles, Coltrane, Ella. Stevie, the Ramones, the Sto nes., Prince, Sly, African-pop, electronic, reggae, Frank Sinatra, standards, etc.

This joyous song, has made me smile, on some of the worst days of my life.
Since 1975, this has been my 'go to' song, whenever I've needed my spirit lifted.

I agree , I played this song to death, when I first bought it, I was in highschool, I did my African dance of this song, played the whole album just about everyday, saw them at Madison square garden once 1977 and 1979, I tell you they blew my mind, been a fan of EWF since I was 12, I had a crush on Maurice and sametime falling in love with Michael Jackson ,two years older then me, had a great childhood and teenage life my hobbies was seeing great bands like ewf , which I believe had the greatest show in the world, I've seen J5 several times and yes they were great , prince who I love Diana Ross , Luther, Rick James the list goes on Michael Jackson bad tour 1987, the EWF had the greatest show on Earth they were the first band to have the biggest production on stage disappearing on stage , drum spinning in the air verdine up in the air,every member is gifted, Philip, verdine, Larry, Ralph, Johnny, Fred , AL McKay, horn section wow, the amazing Maurice white, Denise Williams open up for one show back in the 70s and another show they had the emotion, but two great amazing hrs was ewf, I can still see it in my mind, I am still a fan its

Anyone remember this from the That's the Way of the World (1975) film? The live version is awesome.

Amazing music!

They recorded this live in a skating rink for a scene in the movie. When Maurice tried to do this in the studio, he found they couldn't match the power of the live version, so that's what he put on the album.

And at 3:16 after just about the most spiritual funk song of all "Happy Feeling" they put the most delightful instrumental postscript - on synthesizer that sort of seals the deal - or, if you will, puts icing on the cake of this deeply pleasing song that makes us feel good about our happiest feelings. Unreal. What a "bravura performance". One for the ages!
