My favorite Eagles song hands down. I sang my daughter to sleep with this song from the time she was born until she got too big for bedtime songs--we danced to it at her wedding and it made it seem like a full circle kind of thing because now she sings it to my grandkids when they go to sleep. Shared moments are the best.

I sang this song to my boyfriend when we first met in 1980. He was going through some really tough times and this song perfectly described him and how much I loved him. We married and now close to 40 years later we're still together through thick and thin. Times still aren't always easy but that's life. We're happy together and have been since that first day so long ago. This is my favorite Eagles song because of that. Thanks to the Eagles for this beautiful haunting song and for being such a huge part of my life.
