;) I'm here 100% because of Jakob, actually. I loved one of his songs first, looked it up and was surprised to see who he is. I'm in my 40's so at the tail end of the Bob generation but must say that I've never cared for his voice. Jakob's though- and the lyrics and the delivery- LOVE!

Gah I love this song, and I love Jakob. His stuff is just fantastic! He paints gorgeous, weathered landscapes with his lyrics and "raspy" voice. it's just GOOD... :)

Bob Dylan

His voice always reminds me of Bob Dylan, there are indeed similarities but are not exactly the same. Jakob's sounds also 'very unique', just like a softer, smoother version of Bob Dylan in his own lyrics and music. love ♥

I think Bob and Jacob are not to compare each other. They both are great in their own way.

I don't see or hear his dad in him. He's his own person unless he looks like his mother.

I find Bob's to be more emotional, it really works with his music. It's also unique. It doesn't make him sound like "a rambling shizo"..it just gives the song more power.

Whereas Jakob's is too much like all these other people's..it's also too rough. It grates my nerves a bit.

it's pretty stupid how there are probably more people giving jakob sympathy for comparisons to his father than there are actually people comparing him to his father. i doubt he needs either such glaring demonstrations of ur charitable understanding or comparison. stop repeating what a hundred comments have said before u. good is good.

I guess I'm guilty of comparing him...SORRY JAKOB! haha. Being such a huge Bob fan! But I'd never listened to anything by Jakob Dylan, and my counselor said he was good...But anyways! All that babble leads to he's really talented! He's a bit like Bob, as he's folky, but...I can see the difference.

yeah i had heard his stuff with the wallflowers and thought it was good, then i heard this album and had to buy. it has great melodies and jakob puts his whole being into these songs. You really can't compare him to his father, they are both great but totally different. I actually like Jakob's voice alot better than Bob's
