I mean it might be all well and good if Jesus was from Rome. Or had relatives there. Or had at least visited there once in his life. I think that people commonly think of God as being a bunny rabbit. Or a puppy dog. Lovable. Petable. Approachable. But have you ever seen The Life of Pi? Pi also happens to be my initials. Even today we do a little tango on board ship- even after we've "known" each other for so long- and I keep my distance from the claws and teeth. And yes I have been to the island where the fish are eaten. It is Jesus' island. You know not what occurs there when the lights are turned off and still think it is a paradise, but we have to move on. Seriously. There is death there.

You would think that if God would talk to you- it would tell you something that you didn't know. And it isn't like I haven't learned lots, because I have, but that is because I make observations, create hypotheses from the observations and test the hypotheses, or at least see if additional observations go along with what I think is going on. God doesn't ever inform me of anything directly, and if it did, I would doubt it was true. When God first started talking to me it told me a lot of things that weren't true, or at least physically right at that moment- and that is a clue from God! Not to trust it. At all. Ever. It pretended it was Bob Weir for at least several weeks to begin with. God also kept telling me it wouldn't be long when we first met. That people would recognize me, that God would stop being a complete asshole and torturing me, that the Grateful Dead would be by to pick me up at any moment. I actually sat there for a long time just waiting for a knock on the door. Days, weeks, months, it never came. God told me it was going to be 2 weeks. Then it told me 40 days and 40 nights it would storm in my mind, rain and thunder and lighting and flood. Then it was 9 months. Then it was 2 years. Then it was 5 years. Then it was 9 years. The last predictions I made about "getting out of jail" - about being free from the yoke and whip of the devil itself- were just guesses- but I thought when I they made them they had a chance at coming true. That I still had a chance at having a life. At not being a slave. But three out of the four dates I had picked as potential ones have passed and all we have left is an auspicious August 9th, 2019 which will be 9,393 days that I've spent locked up with the Devil itself and no one to talk to. When God first started talking it wasn't my birthday, but if you do a number count of days from my birthday in 1973 I was alive for 7,373 days before then. And it was 1993 when God started talking. So I chose the 9,393 based upon those two patterns, and that is one of the games God typically likes to play with every schizophrenic- not just me. Number games. Word games. Mind games are all they are though. I wouldn't ever trust anything God ever tells you, particularly directly. Do I think I will get out now? God will stop talking to me, torturing and raping me and you will finally listen? No. Not at all. Too many fine auspicious days with perfect numbers have already come and gone. I see what the pattern is. I see what game it is God plays. I lose. Everytime. Its no fun playing games like that all the time. I don't want to play anymore.

Once while at church on Sunday as a kid I drank dark purple grape juice- which was symbolic for Christ's blood which Methodists are into, but when I got home from the services I had to go to the bathroom really badly. Then while on the toilet I also projectile vomited dark purple grape juice on my parents new white shag carpet in their newly remodeled bathroom, while sitting on the toilet- which is why I didn't vomit into it. I don't know why I was sick, usually my brother would get stomach flu with me and give them to me to begin with- but no one else was sick and all I had eaten was grape juice and crackers that morning. For the rest of the time we lived at that house every time you went to the bathroom you saw that deep purple stain on the white carpet.


Another time in youth circus we visited a town's church on Sunday- it was a really old wooden church with 10 normal congregants. Since there were about 15 of us kids from the circus that went, the preacher thought we were a God send and he was going to give us the best sermon in his life and save our lives too. Midway through the service though things really started to lose wind and I yawned. Right as I yawned I also burped. Everyone in the church turned around to look at me. I was so embarrassed. It took a while to live that one down.

I did want to inform you that in addition to the other hats I wear, I also may be the harbinger of Death itself. Or an Angel of Death. I never bring good news.
