Dwight Yoakam - Heartaches By The Number Lyrics
Heartache number one was when you left me
I never knew that I could hurt this way
Heartache number two was when you came back again
You came back and never meant to stay
Troubles by the score
Every day you love me less
Each day I love you more
Now I've got heartaches by the numbers
A love that I can't win
But the day that I stop counting
That's the day my world will end
Heartache number three was when you called me
With hoping heart I waited for your knock on the door
I waited but you must have lost your way
Now I've got heartaches by the numbers
Troubles by the score
Every day you love me less
Each day I love you more
Now I've got heartaches by the numbers
A love that I can't win
But the day that I stop countin'
That's the day my world will end
Oh, the day that I stop counting
That's the day my world will end
One line in reservation, is this

Heartache by the numbers
Oh the pain of a breakup 😉My friend Jesus won’t break your heart he brings joy peace and freedom into your brokenness, ask him to come into your heart...time to wake up♥️♥️♥️
Heartaches are the roses that you choose
Does anyone know the story behind the line at the end of the song “what Indian reservation is this”? It sounds like Marlon Brando
'Aw fuck...'Gonna get the band started ! ...'Go in the shed and get my guitar ! ...[slingblade]
Never been a big fan of "remakes" but Dwight really nailed it.
25 and drinking strong. A beautiful cover of a legendary song. I ain't got no woman yet but these songs go best with drink. I could drink to old country all day and night!
The boys got a lot of Ray Price and Buck Owens in him .
This so traditional! I just love it.
Dwight Yoakam is great singer of Country music. Fantastic and perfect voice since 1986
Ave, tru-
Wait, this is the shit one

Nicely done

🤗🤗😎😘
Fiddle .. a little 2 step..steel guitar.. a little 2 step♥️ All most missed that ending "What Indian Reservation is this?"😃👍♥️
""" Heartaches """ by the number so true every word of this song by a great artist Dwight 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🤠🤠🤠🤠🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Not as good as Guy Mitchell, though.
It's funny, when he first got hot, he said 'It's not country, it's cowpunk'
I just saw photo of you .you still good😇💯💋
Your still young😇
Listening to Dwight is like listening to someone read a love letter to the Bakersfield sound. From his channeling Buck on "Love's Gonna Live here." To the band doing their rendition of the big instrumental hit "Buckaroo" the elements and hearty all fall into place. If anybody ever tells you the Bakersfield sound is gone. You be sure and give this boy a listen.
I bet tekashi 69 can rap this.
THIS SONG AMAZING,REALY LOVE THIS ONE🎤🎻🎼
Fallout new yokem
Ain't country if, it ain't got a steel guitar or fiddle..
And i thought there was only the 1950s version

Can't match Guy, though.
Let's face it.
Dwight Yoakam no other like him one and only.. yeeeeeehaaa!
Not a patch on the original - Guy Mitchell.
I hate that Dwight did so many covers. his originals are so much better.
This one and webb pierces version are my number one. Better than modern crap music.
Wasn't he one great big asshole in the movie "Slingblade?" Good job Dwight, you nailed it!
Good job, the new generation of country singers!
Adore his voice and the backing music - just speed it up a little and it will be perfect! (I grew up hearing Don Gibson).
Awesome!! I love good old fashion country music. Love your music Dwight . Loving that steel guitar.
One of the all time greats. I've been saying so ever since he started. A true county star. i'm glad that my faith is somewhat rewarded although he gets nothing close to the recognition he deserves.
Dwight is a great singer
Great singer and a great actor. He should have won an award for his performance in "Slingblade."
Eileen Bennett who do you like in real country music singer s men and women and their songs and did you see what pop drunk country music singer Luke Bryan slapped this Man and hope to hear from you on this channel and YouTube God bless you and hope to hear from you listen er Glenn yates in pretty water sapulpa creek Oklahoma USA God bless you
I agree, totally.
Love that steelguitar and fiddle..
My all timer
Dwight is one of the few great country artists left. He is helping to "fill their shoes."
Nice! Ain't much folks that'll get that reference.
George Jones had a point. Dwight is one of the few that can fill their shoes.
Dwight is awesome, can't get any better than this man, except maybe Merle, or Buck! But who's gonna fill his shoes?❤
My dad took me to the beer joint with him in the 60s n I remember these good tunes on the jukebox..damn
chingonas rolas
true country music not the kind you hear on the radio is garbage
The best country artist ever playing one of the old classics.
His best disc, bar none, is " Dwight Sings Buck " . There are some tracks where I hear Buck. Scary, huh?
Get it Dwight simply pure country by one of the greatest..........
True country!!! Love Dwights style. He is my favorite country artists..
HE IS MY absolutely favorite since he first sang on radio. I am 73 so he has been my best singer since the 1980s. I got to see him last january here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One thing on my BUCKET LIST was to see him. No other thing on the list , just Dwight Yoakam. I love his voice & him. He is a true artist. Barbara Flynn.
Gotta love Dwight. Gets. me up off the chair and onto the dance floor every time.
His voice just sooths my soul and eases the pain in my heart. Just love this man singing can listen 24 hours a day and never get tired of this fabulous country voice. Priceless.
That's some darn good fiddle playing right there.
Hell yeah it is!
Billy Gilley the fiddle player is Scott Joss
What year was this . Love Dwight's singing . All his songs are the best !!!
Neither was Ray Price Guy Mitchell made the original recording Ray probably made the most famous version .
Sir, I am sorry to say, I realize you said this 2 months ago, but it was Harlan Howard who made the first recording in 1959 but it was Guy Mitchell who brought it up in popularity in the same year, and this guy, Ray Price and a few others are all different versions of the same tune. But you are right about the most famous version.
@Lemmy Cash i love this classics singers of Dwight Yoakam. 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1992 is my favorites
Lemmy Cash Price recorded it first but Mitchell’s version was released before Price’s.
☂=^;;^=☂
Isn't the singer the doctor from Crank?
@YoungLifeVices Yup!
and the drunk stepdad in slingblade
Braden Carlisle call an ambulance. or a hearst
love this song.
In love with his voice
Love This Song Dwight Yoakam Style! I'm a Dwight Junky!
I'm a Dwight fanatic!!!
No one sings like him
I know this song only because of the game Fallout 3. This is one of the few in game songs. However, the version was not Dwight's.
@diamondblu7 New Vegas.
Okie dokie

rugg199K
rugg1999
stfu no gives a damn about how old you are or if you like this music
rugg1999 And Im Captain Beefhart
Now youre 18, anything change? (listen to the original of this song though, much better imo)
rugg1999 r/lewwronggeneration
I shy away from remakes because I get attached to the 'original', and I love the Ray Price one. But when saw it was Dwight Yoakam I felt sure I'd like it, and, as always, he doesn't disappoint. This is a really nice straightforward version.
Dwight is AMAZING at covering songs. Really puts his own personality/spin on his covers. I normally hate cover songs too, but Dwight does em right every time.
Just love it....
now this is TRUE country music.
Tribute to the man who wrote the song, Harlan Howard (my second cousin once removed). Of all the versions (Ray Price, Guy Mitchell, Waylon, Willie, etc.), Dwight Yoakam is my favorite.
+chris howard -- Dwight sure does this song great credit....Wade Hayes also did a fine version of it.
Hey Chris Howard, my mom's maiden name was Howard and she always talked about Harlan Howard and that he was like a second cousin also ! Just found this interesting ! That means you and I might be related ! Lol I love Duwight !
Didnt Hank Snow do this un too??
@Mike Treadway Don't think so, however he may have put it in an album.
@Jewel Dotson ok I was thinking of Ray Price. But anywho. I still love it. Do you?😊😊🎼🎵🎸
Hey Dwight! Great tribute to Ray Price! May he Rock in Peace!
This is my favorite song off one of my very favorite albums. It's the last track on his first full album, and was a great way to close out one of the best country albums of the last 30 years.
very much true
true..but thats why country music exists
When Dwight stops, country music will officially be dead. Tom Petty is right, country pop is terrible rock.
im a "metalhead" and this guy is the voice of my heart.
that pretty much sums up country western music
fuck that bitch, better off without her...
This boy never made a bad song !! Keep up the great work, Dwight !!
When the hair on my arms stand up, I call that EMOTION !!
Dwight rules!
para los que gustan del country music i hope you like this musica
Hee-Haw !
mmm yum :)
Man did a helluva job on this country classic.
Brilliant :)
Yee-Hah! Love it. Thanks Dwight!
