This dude inspired me to become just like him. I have listened to James since I was 4 and saw him on Idol every time and still watch his auditions and everything because I taped them. James Durbin has always helped me through tough times like when I get bullied. He also inspired me because I have developmental disorder's just like James. I have ADHD, Amblyopia or called Lazy eye and a growth deficiency. I really love him and when I got to see him I cried. I still have his autograph to this day.

I just recently found this song and its been on my playlist since. Its really really really good.. I really wonder why doesn't it have over 1million views??? This song is amazing and so are you..

I haven;t thought about this guy since the last time I watched American Idol, which was when he was on it. He killed the metal. Figures he had to do shit like this after Idol. Hope he breaks free from this crap and plays some metal like he is so good at.

I didn't mind this song when it came out and I enjoy how he's expanding his horizons and all, but like many others here I prefer his harder rock sound. Now that he's not signed to a label anymore, I bet that he'll mix his interests up on his next album

His first album was actually pretty good. Think he needs to go back to rock. Maybe he wasn't breaking through in rock but he doesn't seem to be doing it with generic pop either and at least he was doing what he's best at.

I wish him the best of luck. It's tough breaking through in the music industry. He is talented and I hope he makes it. He needs a great song.

I have to agree with many of the comments below... I like James Durbin as an artist...amazing rock singer and vocals, but while this song is not bad, corporate is trying to turn him into another pop clone. As to the comment below if Durbin is allowed to sing for what he is capable of he won't be flipping burgers any time soon. :-)

Tom lee hated all of his songs and so did his label (at the time) and he had to write new ones. That's why his album "Celebrate" has songs like this. You should still love his music no matter what

People, James is talented as hell. I have met and talked to the man for a half an hour when I went to see him in person. Not only do I (PERSONALLY) think his music is good no matter what, but urge you to look at the better side of these new songs. The man has to make songs for more than 1 person. Meaning people are gonna have to dislike. I'm 100% positive he doesn't WANT to make you guys not like it. Hell he's AWESOME! I mean, I'm only 15, but I saw him last year. I too have autism and tourette's and that stuff. However it's mild. So basically, people barely see it unless I have some form of sensory or whatever. Now I am not saying this out of being his big fan, but more so due to me feeling bad. Do you people ever think what it might be like to write music for who knows how many people? My guess is hard, some people like it and some don't. Now don't take this as me trying to persuade you, but rather lighten up. He has a lot on his plate with his life and his SECOND child (Congrats James) and everything else at home I'm guessing. So if you read this the whole way through, I thank you for caring and not being a dick. Yet just remember, he tries to do everything for us to make it up. Peace.

+Jordan Fisher It's Autism Awareness Week at my school and I just remembered about this guy, who still remains one of my favorite AI contestants. That's so awesome you got the chance to meet him, I bet he's pretty cool and down-to-earth. My family and I were fortunate to see him perform on the tour that summer and he killed the "Uprising" performance.

@Jordan A Thanks! And i saw him on the american idol tour as well! Let me say, he did kill that performance and he IS indeed incredibly down to earth. I mean when i met him, it was at "The Note" in West Chester PA but I live in sinking spring. Anyhow, the place was a teen hangout / bar. As in there was a coffee house upstairs that the kids had to go through to go to a balcony that also had side steps that led down to the stage on the main floor on the other side of the bar. Underneath the teen hangout was the bar on the main floor. Later that night i met him, after me and him had talked for a while, i was told by an employee i would have to go up and around. Sure enough, James said, and i quote, "I'll go with ya come on!". MADE my night. It was like a dreamy state, as if it wasn't happening but it was. Me and him talked and stuff, and what not, he gave me free merchandise as well! Like, i just never knew i could connect so well with anyone until i met him. Truly inspirational.

Wow what an experience that sounds like! That is one quote I would remember forever too if I met one of my idols. I pretty much stopped watching Idol around Season 11, but I'll always remember how much fun my family and I had watching it!

I like it but I miss the old age rock. Now it sounds like the new age. I like both but love the old age type stuff he does.

It's not that this isn't good; because he's sincerely talented. This is just not quite what many people intended, and I feel like that scares people more than the fact that this is a pop song. It's not the song, it's how it changes things.

This is a pretty catchy song but I miss the rocker James... I love his song Higher Than Heaven. I'm just not a pop person :/ whoever steered him away from rock to pop was soooo wrong. He sure is good at pop but as the judges said on his audition, the way he was singing was coming from his heart and soul. I'm just not feeling that here... and I can really feel it when he sings rock/metal or whatever but definitely not this... :(

I had more than enough songs for a great Alternative Rock record in my opinion. Unfortunately, my A&R (at the time) didn't feel the same way. He hated all the songs & wanted to start over completely! He got me in with songwriters who wrote on a broader scale than just Rock. Guys who, in addition to writing hits for My Darkest Days & Black Veil Brides, also had hits with Selena Gomez & Katy Perry. That made for a change of pace. The writing sessions were never one sided. There was never a limit to what we could create or anyone expecting us to write one certain style or genre. That's where "Celebrate" came from.

Well that A&R guy really f*cked James over because he has been dropped by WindUp (Check the artist roster on their site. He's no longer listed).

Btw, that old A&R guy's name is Tom Lee and they should fire his stupid ass.

I love James Durbin I loved his style and his talent and it feels like he's lost sight of that. Yeah its a great song but it wasn't who he was. Yeah now his music is more popular because people like pop more than they do rock. But what's the point of having a popular song if you lose yourself in the process? I still think James is amazingly talented. I just can't enjoy something that wasn't him. And I am a true fan of James Durbin but I'm a fan of the real him.

i've listened this song for 2 weeks and did not change my mind...if it's commercial song, well, it's ok...but I want louder and edgy sound from the song. but it did not sartisfied me,.

I love all of James's songs and his amazing voice. He was my favorite on Am. Idol from his very first audition, even before I knew his name I was always like "hey I like that guy!" and every performance after that I was rooting for him. When I found out about his first CD and that he got to live his dream despite not winning Am. Idol I was so happy. It's amazing to see how far he's come. I love your music James - rock, pop, or whatever else! (It also makes me smile to see his familiar scarf tail in this video :)

I also must say I jumped into a relationship recently without my parachute and landed in a pit of spikes that was quickly flooded out with shark-filled waters that tore me apart, so maybe I'm a little bias.

I'm not sure what I think about this. It's good, but James Durbin is like... going all 1D or something.

He looks and sounds like the lead singer of the band "Haywire". So glad to see that he can play guitar! Great song. Check out " Dance Desire" by the band "Haywire" and the similarities, although James Durbin is more current  he looks like Haywire's lead singer.

Finally we can get your music at least through utube...itunes doesn't have it in their Canadian store, I've waited along time,,not to happy with your record label still can't buy it here

I like this whole cd, as I did the last one. He was never strictly metal. If "May" is a metal song, I am a bit confused. He seems to always have incorporated other sounds. But whatever. I like his voice, so carry on.

I like most of the entire album CELEBRATE.  There are better songs on the album, but this is very catchy.
