Probably some occult stuff, specially black orhid symbology... They were groomed to be a stars... That's only my honest opinion, but nevertheless I'm huge Duran Duran fan...

Hmmmm I'm beginning to think that this album is better than Rio. It's more back to the punk roots of DD whereas Rio was a pop album.

Here's how I envision a music video for the song, it would take place during the mid-late 1940's, it would involve a detective trying to solve a case, he walks into a club, with Duran Duran performing complete with 40's outfits and musical equipment, and it would all build up to a massive climax toward the end!

I love your concept since DD did a BOND soundtrack already ! I'm not sure if you ever thought of this but a few songs like "I take the Dice" could fit into a Disney cartoon film sort of like Elton & the "Circle of life". Just a pleasant song song!

A great guitar piece - Ive been practicing this song and "Shadows on Your Side" for the past year and its tons of fun on guitar.

+steph wanamaker Good point, Steph. I think a lot of people were unprepared for the fact that their sound had matured (perhaps they had become a little jaded, as well), and "Seven" reflected that. When I bought the vinyl in 1984, I remember initially not liking it as much as "Rio" (but, hey, what does a 14-year-old know, right?). Looking back on it, I think it is so underrated. And that is one hell of a killer B-side.
