Makes me think of an ex that I had. We had a really rocky relationship, I made a lot of mistakes, and things just kinda of got out of control. But after we broke up, it was like a switch went off, and she changed completely. It's like, when I realized my mistakes and I tried to fix them, the exact opposite happened for her. I still love her, but things have gotten to the point where we can't even talk anymore without her trying to guilt me or use me as her emotional punching bag. Did I fuck up? Hell yes I did. But I'm trying to use all of that to help me not repeat the past. Every time we talk, she tells me that I'm not going to change, that I'm incapable of it, and that I'm a bad person who's trying to put on this facade of being good. It messed with my head to a degree where I let her direct where I was going in my life. I realize now that was a shitty decision. So I'm trying to pick my life back together and better myself, not for anyone else but me.
