Drifters, The - Lonely Winds Lyrics
Lonely wind, lonely wind
Lonely wind, lonely wind
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
You know where my baby's going
I said won't you bring
(Bring)
Woah, bring
(Bring)
Yeah, I ask you to bring now
(Bring)
(Bring)
Yeah, I want you to bring my, my, my
My-my-my little bitty girly on home to me
(Lonely wind, lonely wind)
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
I'm all alone sighing, whoa
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
Can't help from crying
I said now blow
(Blow)
Yeah, I asked you to blow
(Blow)
Whoa, I asked you to blow now
(Blow)
Yeah, I want you to blow
(Blow)
Yeah, I want you to blow my, my
My little, little, my little, little girly on home to me
(Lonely wind, lonely wind)
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
I'm all alone moaning, whoa
Lonely wind
(Lonely winds)
Oh, I'm so lonely
I said won't you bring?
(Bring)
Woah, bring
(Bring)
Yeah, I ask you to bring now
(Bring)
Whoa, you bring
(Bring)
Yeah, please bring my, my, my
My-my-my little bitty girly back home to me
(Lonely winds)
Keep a-right on blowing
(Lonely winds)
Keep a-right on blowing
(Lonely winds)
Keep a-right on blowing
(Lonely winds)
Yeah, yeah
(Lonely winds)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Lonely winds)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Lonely winds)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Lonely winds)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Drifters, The Lonely Winds Comments
trop trop génial c'est magnifique trop trop jolie👍
Oldies x siempre
I remember this song vividly from my childhood. Every time the wind blows at night, I think of it. Hard to believe it only charted at #54.
wonderfull 🎈🎈🎈🎈 SONG.....
Like hand and glove a good song and rendition deserving of #4 not 54. Too "edgy" for some perhaps. I'd rank it among their best. The Drifters were great with or without King. All he ever wanted to do was become a Drifter he said. And when he's successful as one what does he do? He splits like most leads. That's gratitude for ya. "Hasta la vista baby," sorry but "I won't be back."
I'm partial to vocal groups in the rock n roll era and would rank as number one for harmony, talent and 'fit' my all time favorite, the Flamingos. They were a 'class' act. There were so many great tunes by good groups some underrated I think like Ruby and the Romantics. "Our Day Will Come" was drop dead gorgeous. Still is for my tastes. No putting down the Drifters though, they're like walking into a tangle of cobwebs. They have staying power—they 'stick' around. Let's listen again...a little louder, my wife just left for a bit.
Great vocals.Great strings and the great Johnny Lee Williams on first tenor. He sang lead on True Love,True Love.Check it out.Beautiful tenor.
23 people have feet movin. Best of the best!
Few artists could bear down on a note as hard and beautifully as Ben.E.King. R.I.P.....
Used to listen to this in Binns' record-booth Sunderland 1959
Great vocals and music! It doesn't get better than this!
This song was recorded on my birthday. I was in high school and belonged to a group called the Interludes. We covered this song and loved it.
