I saw dr hook n the medicine show here in Juneau alaska in the early 1970's, Ray was so great, he pulled his shirt off his shoulder n said "u want 2 c some sex" n he walked across the stage n started singing!! A great group that put out great music, at 64 I still listen 2 them every nite after work!!

Hello I've been on the inside and would have stayed if not for 1 lady that couldn't get her Thorazine shot soon enough. I nearly got a drink from her milk as the carton flew by my head and then almost wore her oatmeal as it followed. Then she got her shot and for 6 hours just slumped in her chair and I told those people that I was not in her condition and could I sign myself out. Normally not but I'm a veteran and they trusted me to myself. So I got out and stayed away from Thorazine shots since then. Most addictive drug ever made. Turns a raging lion into a baby lamb! JDE

Dr hook is my favorite group. No I'm not old I just grew up to it. Didn't no they were an older band until I was "hooked". My kids have listened to them for years ( even like one or two songs)

OMG, I've been looking for this song for years. My favorite Dr. Hook song and one of my faves ever.

Back in the late 70's/early 80's, I wrote a parody of this called "I Need the High, But He Can't Stand the Taste." We had a local radio station back then called KFAT that played all types of country music including irreverent stuff like this, where my friend LouAnn and I sang it on the air.
