I did not know that you can play a bass solo and give a reach-around at the same time. I learn something new every day. These dudes were awesome, completely unbridled extremism. They left a stain on the bed sheets of music that just won't wash out.

George Cummings did not found or name the group! The group was founded by Billy, Ray and Dennis. They got their name because a bar owner wanted to put a poster of them in the window and needed a name. Because Ray had the eyepatch, they decided on Dr Hook and the Medicine Show, only later dropping "the Medicine Show" and remained Dr Hook!

I have never heard this one and have listened to it a few times now. Everyone one of them are so talented and when they are soooo high!! lol  Billy's dancing reminds me of James Brown when he slides his feet and Elvis with his karate dance moves! lol  Great song and entertaining...such a talented group of guys. :)
