Doors, The - Wishful Sinful Lyrics
Wishful crystal
Water covers everything in blue
Coolin' water
Wishful sinful
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Magic risin'
Sun is shinin' deep beneath the sea
Love to hear the wind cry
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Love to hear the wind cry
Love to hear you cry, yeah, yeah

Beautiful song ❤❤❤
Underrated album
Robby Krieger's masterpiece
Best Song
Yo tampoco puedo evitar la tristeza
Another Robby Krieger classic. Love the interaction between Robby's guitar and the plangent oboe solo.
0:08 love that part
Overlooked Doors song
Harvey Brooks one Hell of a Bass Player....
jeffrey mcglone you are correct. Dude is a beast on Touch Me, too. Really makes the whole song.
NIce druggie music.
can you dig it DOPE
One of my favorite songs on my favorite album of all time! How the critics panned this shame on them all!!!
Goosebumps every time I hear this.
I know the strings went against the purest Doors fans but I loved them.
And the Cor Anglais solo is beautiful
The best band ever, live on Jim, my good friend
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33Kny1Y9hHo
The best Doors songs are the ones Jim didn’t write.
I don't agree. The hits were mainly penned by Robbie. I think that
Jim's writing was too far out for the mainstream sometimes. Personally I live all of the Doors songs.
unpopular opinion but this is my favourite Doors album. r.i.p. Ray and Jim x
Superb drums...
the doors is my religion
This reached # 44 on the USA Billboard charts in April, 1969. It was released in March on their 4th album, The Soft Parade. It should have charted higher. A Doors gem penned by Robby Krieger.
The chromatic bass run in the chorus is so cool
mysticated wine is wine with psychoactive substances added, used forrituals
no words
you can't escape the blue. Great song!
Our love is beautiful to see I know where I would like to be right back where I came
Great band all around. Simply beautiful.
"tell you this , nothing will forgive us NOW for waisting the dawn"
1:40 love it
I love this song! The doors brings back so many memories....
So many great Doors songs. And yet, I think this may be my favorite one of all. Not easy to choose!
Yes, that's true. So many great songs of The Doors, but which is the best?
Recuerdos ciegos de una niña triste .pero a la vez disfrutando los momentos de risas ingenuas y falsas
De que bergas hablas
Canción hermosa aun melancólica para dedicarla a tu 💘 amor
Hermosa
One of the most well rounded talented bands ever.
Wishful
Lembrando do meu amor, Carlos Eduardo... Descanse em paz meu amor <3 + R.I.P 16/11/17
The Doors music gets better with age. Not many bands can say that about their music. The Soft Parade wasn't very well received when it was released in 1969 and it was the beginning of 3 or 4 mediocre albums for the Doors until their last album with Jim Morrison, "LA Woman" in 1971, which was incredible. It was, unfortunately the Doors "swan song" as Morrison would die that summer at age 27. What a band.
Love this Morrison
Probably the most underrated Doors songs of all time, not to mention one of their most underrated albums.
Absolutely.
ΚΑΤΑ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΟΣ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ!
This what's written in his gravestone.
It is Greek! Find out what it means and...
MY YOUTH GONE WILD!
A beautiful song....
I love this song and I have loved it since 1970 when my boyfriend and I made out to it on the stereo, so many fabulous memories! Beautiful Haunting Jim's voice! xxx
I love Jim. FOREVER! I remember listening to this one track 20+ times when I was on ecstacy one time. Best experience. I loved listening to The Doors back when I was experimenting.
I’ll have 3 of whatever Jim had.
dontsayaword but some Acid, booze, and lots of weed
love this song
Deseoso.....pecaminoso
i used to smoke good weed listening to this with my ex girlfriend that were the days!!
Great song and album, one of my favourites :)
Anyone know who plays bass in this song?
RUBINHO925. IT MIGHT BE DOUGLAS LUHBAN?.
Not sure, but with many of their songs the keyboardist played bass with the organ
Ray Mazerik! he was the pianist on the right hand, bass on left hand, he was an incredible musician
@Jonny ogy more like Ray Manzarek
It was Doug Lubahn. Harvey Brooks also played bass on this album.
16 people should burn in hell
this song only went to #44 on the pop charts in 1969!!!
love this song
Beautiful song that could only be sung by Morrison.
one of there best songs
I dont understand how people dislike this. The lyrics are amazing. There is a lot of poetry in Jim's words. The band is great and so the orchestral arrangements. Its one of my Doors favorites
Robbie Krieger, the guitarist, actually wrote the words to this song. Every bit the poet as Jim was.
robbies solo on when the musics over is pure lsd
A more beautiful piece of music you will seldom have the privilege of hearing.
Love this album even after 50 years
Jim's voice conveyed so much, a great arrangement, but there was "wishful crystal" meth
just thiscovered this song 5 minutes ago it's amazing!
The lizard king would of been on the iron throne if alive today, actually he is on the throne so every one take the knee
so every one take the knee < Only to Jesus man, I bow to no man. SEMPER FI civilian ~
paul fucking harris !
I own the original 1969 album on vinyl this is my favorite album by the doors its just AMAZING
Right on I would cherish that gem
So do I, it’s pretty amazing
My favorite too.
"On vinyl" is a pointless distinction.
Soy mexicana pero amo a the doors los mas grandes
Yo también soy mexicano Viridiana, y al igual que a tí, me fascina esta música y similares, un saludo.
Difícil no amarles.
Los que no gustan de su música son posers que los culpan de haber conseguido tanto éxito
Yo de Guatemala y the doors son mi vida.
perfect in all....
So fucking underrated
To those who didn't like this album, oh well. It reached number 6 on the album charts. Wishful Sinful only made it to 44 on the Hot Billboard 100 but after I moved from L.A. to Miami, a friend in L.A. sent me a KRLA top songs list and this song was in the top 20 there. That album and songs suffered from Miami and many other cities and towns not airing any Doors songs because of the Miami Concert.Wishful Sinful would've gone higher on the charts if not for that.
I will also add that because of the boycotts, the Soft Parade enjoyed a large underground following.
Nice to know, so tired of all these comparisons between bands of the day, irony being that the Doors were put on the map mainly due to Jim but then the songwriting expertise & charts positioning being compromised due to all the silly drama surrounding him.
This album is great this song, easy ride, tell all the people. The doors bring such a gloomy erie feeling through their music. Summers almost gone is very melancholic. Too good
doc lex. it took you the whole album you listened to. to decide you didn't like it. you must be a beiber fan.
This song and album dont get the credit it deserves because critics werent happy with the horns and strings used throughout.
It's seriously one of the craziest albums they made, I love it. That' it's got all the orchestral work is just part of it's craziness.
That's half the reason I like this album! Don't get me wrong, bands have done a lot of good with the typical guitar+bass+drums+singer lineup, but I love a bit of variety.
Strings and horns ruin this album. They sound syrupy and bombastic. :-(
TheRunner75 okay!
@John Bennett haahahahahhaah yeah
Deseoso Pecaminoso jajajaja..
Coño, el Sifus jajaja.. Delicias Town, ciudad sin ley jajaja..
so incredible
best song they ever did in the studio
love this song
I believe Krieger wrote the lyrics
you are right
This is a BEAUTIFUL song!
ROCK!! ON
Jim's Oedipus Complex coming thru.
e walt how is this about the Oedipus complex ? Just curious
Jim didn't write this. Robby did.
He hated his mother.
At least he was honest about it.
Oedipus complex coming through you say? Where. When. Not this song. You're stuck in "The End". Plus Jim didn't wrote this song. Robbie deserves a lot of credit. He wrote the bigger hits.
THE BEST THING ,,,JIM DAD HAD NO CLUE HOW BIG HE WAS ,,,GONE TO SOON MORRISON
oh, he knew how big he was. so did the crowd in miami
allegedly*
Jim's dad was the youngest man to ever become an admiral in the U.S. navy at the time, I believe he was at the time in charge of the navy's involvement in Vietnam. Admiral Morrison was kind of a big deal himself.
@Oldbmwr100rs He was a very nice man who said Jim Wrote "Very well." He had more than a clue. See interview in you tube.
Wishful crystal
Water covers everything in blue
Coolin' water
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue
Magic risin'
Sun is shinin' deep beneath the sea
But not enough for you and me and sunshine
Love to hear the wind cry
Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see

Right back where I came
Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you

Spaciba
Журавель Жабка Thank you.
Brilliant love the song it's that feeling you get inside listening to it that's hard to explain pure class
love this song
muito top!!
worst doors song by far... the whole album is a disaster
Doc Lex One of the greatest albums of all time you moron!
I disagree
Wishful Sinful is a masterpiece. Negative comments are for negative people.
Are listening to the same damed album?
Doc Lex I really like Wishful Sinful. Its a great song. You just got trash inside ur ears.
This is a good song.
Thom Pegg what
what, jimmy??
This is a bloody good song. Has a slightly Indian Summer/Beatles' "Dear Prudence" feeling about it - possibly because it was the same year (1968/9).
Best on the album imo
my God only if Jim was alive today...
@Dwayne Bb that's why I quitted crack hahaa
Yeah, and Elvis, too...
He'd be really old.
Jim go in hell because he alcoholik LOL
@SoftserveSodium - You don't know that.
