Doors, The - Easy Ride Lyrics

And I know
It will be
An easy ride, all right
And I know
It will be
Easy ride, ok

The mask that you wore
My fingers would explore
Costume of control
Excitement soon unfolds

And I know
It will be
Easy ride, yeah
Joy, for vaguely
Which' your pride
Which' your pride, yeah

Black polished stone
Black polished stone
I see your eyes
Like burnin' glass
Like burnin' glass
Hear you smile, smile, babe

The mask that you wore
My fingers would explore
Costume of control
Excitement soon unfolds, hey

Easy, baby

Call the queen, now
Be my bride
Ragin' darkness
By my side
Seize the summer
In your pride
Take the winter
In your stride

Let's ride, yeah
Easy, easy, easy
Easy, easy, ease, easy
Yeah, yeah, ride
Dum, dum, dum, dum
Dum, dum, dum
Ride

Doors, The Easy Ride Comments

I remember when i was living in LA--A Vietnam Vet that used to live near the Whiskey A go go on Sunset blvd. He worked at a tire shop and lived down the street from the whiskey. The Doors used to come over to his place after playing at the Whiskey and used to do band related stuff. He mentioned Jim and said he was nothing like what people being described as being a drunk or any of that crazy stuff like in the movie or what was often said about him

The Doors were one of the greatest groups of all rock, and probably by light years the most brilliant and original.  The combo of talent in this band was off the charts.. .very member was perfect for the group.. . Jim's wild genius and incredible range was so perfectly supported by the music of these guys. . .it was quite a miracle.. . .I was lucky enough to see them play live twice.. ..and wow were they awesome. I still play their tunes constantly to this day more than any other group.YOu want a treat, go listen to this one: . . man does drummer John Densmore rip on this..  ..an epic live cover of who do you love. THe guys were on fire at this concert--unfortunately I didn't see this one. . .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dT0Go7KqUE

  10. C.... ....

One of their worst, still better than anything today.

  11. A.... M....

Sounds bit like The Animals - See See Rider

  12. J.... N....

This truly doesn't sound much like Doors but it's not too bad either

  15. S.... M....

A track from The Doors 1969 album, you can hear a country influence, especially in Robbies guitar work. Many other rock groups dabbled in country:
    "Act naturally"
    by The Beatles.
"And when I die" by Blood,Sweat & Tears.
Nashville Cats" by The Loving Spoonful.
    "Git Fiddler" by Jefferson Starship....etc....

    S.... M....

Nice tune. Great work by Robbie.

    S.... M....

    Sounds more like gospel music

  16. E.... B....

    k.... ....

    No this is good.

@kelvinkloud Get the fuck outta here. This is a great feel good number, and the musicianship is slick. Jim's voice sounds great, and the production is right on the money. In my opinion it's a beaut, like the vast majority of the songs The Doors created. That is all. Run along now.

    k.... ....
