Doolittle, Eliza - Let It Rain Lyrics

I found my way with bad directions
I've done my best, and I learned my lessons
And I know I can do this, again and again
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me

Got a feeling of falling, like in a bad dream
What's the meaning, the calling, 'cause nothing is what it seems.
And I wont ever know, so I take the time, 'cause it wont stop taking mine

I don't know what a winner is, but I want to be one.
Would I ever really know, if I didn't get me some?

'Cause I found my way with bad directions
I've done my best, and I learned my lessons
And I know I can do this, again and again
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me

What the signs are saying, over and over
If you fear it, you should face it
But my fear has the face of you.

I want to make, make you proud
Those the only words, that I care, care about

I don't know what a winner is, but I want to be one.
Would I ever really know, if I didn't get me some?

'Cause I found my way with bad directions
I've done my best, & I learned my lessons
And I know I can do this, again and again
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me

I see your face in the crowd
All I want to do is make you proud
And they can say what they want
Those are the only words that I care about
If I can't fight, I still stand,
So you can see who I am
Come gather 'round, quiet down, do you hear that sound?

Just let it rain on me.
Just let it rain on me.
Just let it rain on me.
Just let it rain on me.

I know I can do this, again and again
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me
So, let it rain, just let it rain, just let it rain on me

The only true one: Share it

written by Susejfo  Revol  with the help of Tirips Yloh

This book is meant to remain free and the author disapproves of anybody selling it for the motives of making a profit.
As for me, I am writing this book because of my love for everybody and I certainly will never use God’s wisdom to make any money.
I am writing the following thoughts in this book as they flow through my mind. Jesus in his infinite wisdom has granted me a spirit of clairvoyance that I cannot just keep for myself. In doing so, I feel that I am doing something that will benefit many by crushing all the lies that we are surrounded with in our modern daily lives.
I love every single one of you, readers, and I also love those who have not read this book yet. Many people as we speak cannot read and it is very important that we pray so that people be given the opportunity to learn how to read. Without reading, the truth in our world is hard to find even though sometimes, people around us, the internet and TV (extremely rarely) allow us to listen to or watch beautiful testimonies about the true living God. Nevertheless, the interest that people have for money is too frequently preventing those truths from being revealed to us.

    What is grace?

Grace is something Christians want to have. But we need to remember that we cannot obtain grace just because we want to. Grace is a gift from God. Grace is what we are given even though we do not deserve it. Only a relationship with the Father and Son can allow our Father to use us in His grace. We cannot obtain grace through good deeds even though good deeds are good in the eyes of the Lord. It is to do with mercy, not merit.
We live every day by the grace of God. We receive forgiveness according to the riches of God’s grace. We trust God everyday and God gives us His grace. We need to take our focus away from ourselves and focus on our unconditional and unwavering love for Dad in Heaven.
“Spiritual growth” or grace doesn’t happen overnight; we “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”. The phrase “spiritual growth” in itself is misleading since we do not grow of our own strength but thanks to the water coming from Heaven.
God chooses us. We do not choose Him. Nevertheless we can ask Him to choose us. And whatever we ask will be given. We are under God. Let us remember that all the time. Nothing is automatic. Nothing is magic.
Grace transforms our desires, our behaviours and makes us reveal who we truly are, namely obedient children of our infinitely loving Father.
Obedience to God is the beginning and purpose of life.
Let us pray that God gives us the grace to accept such a statement.

    The values of this world

Jesus is the truth and we cannot love Jesus and money.  Either we will love Jesus and despise the love of money or we will love money and despise Jesus. Therefore, how can we find the truth when everybody is constantly trying to sell us something? Surely Those who try to sell what they hold as true think about themselves first instead of God and the same message is valid for a vast majority of self- proclaimed intellectuals and philosophers who, like the Pharisees, like to be in the light. Even worse are many of those self-proclaimed messengers of God who sell their videos and books at a high price. Those inward-looking individuals are corrupt. That corruption is everywhere and is present within many people and, as a result, is present in many organisations, including those that proclaim the undeniable truth that Jesus is the only saviour of our souls. They slyly use the message of Christianity for their own well-being. Why do people, out of fear, rely on money to live when only Jesus can give life? Jesus did not call us to be hypocrites. He called us to trust him and not to worry. He‘s providing everything for us. Everything we possibly need. And he will give us what we need abundantly if we rely on him. One thing is sure is that the best gift we can receive from God is the Holy Spirit, certainly not money even though our heavenly father can certainly sometimes help people financially according to His will.
The values of this world are not the values of a true Christian.

What our focus should be in our lives.

True Christians are difficult to encounter because many of them refuse to go to church because of all the hypocrisy within the church and many of those who do attend church services only do so to give themselves a good conscience or to get that sense of belonging to a community.
It is true to say that many people, Christians and non-Christians, are in deep need of being loved and accepted by the people around them. But as sure as it is true that love is what makes us happy, shouldn’t we long for the love from God rather than the love from people? Don’t we trust God when He says everything else will be added to us?  Love is a blessing and it comes from God.  God is not a man. God is love. Are we going to church to praise God or meet people?
And I will add something important. Desiring the company of people after the mass or anywhere else is not a sin but it is a desire based in ignorance. Even though it is true that people can get to know you and love you, the source of love is God. Therefore it is not a sin but a misunderstanding of the way of the Lord to seek that love from people and not directly from God. The true motives for a Christian when they meet people are to share the word of God and enjoy others in the perspective of supporting them.
In other words, the act of going to church in itself is not a sin. Just like everything else we do, the intention behind our actions is what makes them sinful.  What defiles us come from the heart. Therefore since our intentions are located in our hearts, I am asking churchgoers: what are our intentions?  Are we going to church to praise and worship God or just for feeling the love from other churchgoers after the mass? And when we talk to people, this, as I just explained, is not bad in itself.  But do we speak to people to show them how we love them or just to try to get something out of them?
We, Christians are allowed and encouraged to help each other in our faith and spread our faith to the world outside the church. Getting to know the people around us, whoever they are, is certainly something Jesus did and then something we should do as well as we, Christians follow the example of Jesus. But was Jesus just trying to get to just know people or was he more interested in sharing his love to the people around him and delivering His message of love, salvation and the necessity to always trust Him? Shouldn’t the focus of our lives only be God?
Therefore, here is what I feel is the right attitude of a churchgoer. Going to church to praise God or listen to God and, if you wish spreading the love you have for God and others with your fellow Christians after the mass.

    A living example and inspiration

And here is something to be reminded constantly about our Lord Jesus: precisely that He is in every single aspect of His life on earth the one and only true person we should try to imitate.  Jesus was going to the synagogue on the Sabbath but the rest of the time he was living in the world. Only the sick need a doctor. And the world was sick and still is. Jesus for example was praying the father so we too should pray to the father. And praying is not restricted to those buildings of prayer. It should be something we do as often as possible. And in everything we do, we should do it in the name of Jesus in order to glorify the heavenly father.
We, true believers of Jesus, are the Church. We live by believing.

The notion of good and bad: what is a sin?

Those reflections on our sinful nature lead me to wonder what sin really is. Do we sin if our intentions are bad?  Yes, absolutely.  And do we sin if our intentions are good but the end result is bad? No. How could it be otherwise?  If you do something because you believe it is the best course of action, then it would be wrong to consider your good intentions a sin?
Therefore, if we are ignorant about what is the right thing to do, the only rightful attitude is to follow your conscience. Your conscience is the most important thing you have after the grace of the Holy Spirit. And when it comes to deciding what course of action to adopt, we can only hold true to what we have attained in the field of our understanding of good and evil.  And if we are not sure how to go on about things, surely God can help us. He wants to help us. Have we lost all faith? The bible is there for a reason and if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord, we have the good Father, not the other one who is the father of lies and deceit. Doesn’t a good father always want to help his children? Surely our heavenly Father will give us that spirit of love, power and clarity of mind, The Holy Spirit indeed guides us into all truths and lets us see and judge things clearly. Ask and you will receive.

    About happiness

We all want to be happy. But not everybody knows how to become happy. People believe in all sorts of things that will make them happy. The common mistake is to believe that material wealth will bring happiness when in reality; it takes you to that infernal pursuit of something that looks good on the outside but has nothing inside. Money is like a nice looking Christmas present with nothing inside. The only good thing about that present is that someone gave it to you. Why not thank God if we have money? God surely gave it to you unless you received it in exchange for your soul. Drug dealers, prostitutes and other illegal money making activities are just receiving that money from the hands of Satan himself.
Another pitfall is to seek sexual relationships and pleasures of the flesh, when in reality, such a lifestyle will only make you a slave of your own body and make you feel miserable inside.
Food and marital sex are inevitable. Let us praise the Lord when we do these things and may God help us behave sensibly and in accordance to the will of God.
We are called to live in the spirit and not in the flesh and many people guess or have a feeling that our real happiness lies in the things of the spirit. Most people will even recognize that love is the most important thing in our lives. They could not be more right. How come then, that those people who can see clearly when they recognize that love is the most important thing in their lives fail to understand that God is love and the source of love? Some people want love so much that they spend a lot of money for their holidays just to meet people in the hope that they will have a bit of loving attention from  strangers. People are craving for love and usually such needy people only get attention, not love.
Love is something we should give, not seek to receive. And we should give it without expecting it in return.  Only a relationship with God can help us do that because we surely receive more love directly from God than through the intermediaries of our fellow human beings.
Therefore, it is important to be bold in our faith. Why be shy when you can be sharing the love of God you have been given and make people happy around you. Christians should be on fire and if they are not, they should ask God to give them the strength and take away the shame of speaking up for Jesus. Jesus is the only way, Jesus is the truth. Why be ashamed of proclaiming the truth? Therefore, since Jesus is truth and since Christians should proclaim the truth, everybody is called to proclaim the truth and submit to God.
This is what happiness is: total submission to God and total sharing of His love to the people around us.

    About other faiths

As Christians, we know we are right but we must not offend other people by telling them too abruptly that they are wrong.
If people are deceived by Satan, it is not their fault. They too believe that they are right and that we are wrong. They might even go as far as saying that Christianity is a satanic religion.
With people outside of the Christian faith, it is wise in my views to explain what we believe in. Sharing the word is about the only thing we can do when people try to challenge your faith. They will often come with convincing arguments to prove that we are wrong.  From experience, a little bit of research almost always reveals that what they are asserting, are well disguised lies that only wolves in sheep clothing can come up with. Let us not be dismayed. And if we wish, we can do a bit of research ourselves to untangle the truth form the lies. We, Christians, are not afraid of the truth. Never compromise with unbelievers. Jesus is truth and we should stand by that truth. One of the most common arguments unbelievers attack Christians with, is by emphasizing the fact that the bible was written by men and not God himself and that the word of God in the gospels is therefore corrupt. A common theme in all these attacks is that they craftily advocate ideologies that prevent the followers of these ideologies from being saved by denying the resurrection of Jesus and Jesus being divine.  The Quran even asserts that Jesus was not crucified. Let us Christians have none of that! Didn’t Jesus say” Those who live by believing in me will never die” and “All authority on heaven and earth has been given to me”? Those unbelievers will never recognize that Jesus said that. Therefore all we can do is share the word, explain our faith and pray the Lord that He will touch them.
Let us never mock a counter perspective.
In any case, we should never be intimidated when they say we are full of hate and do not respect their faiths. We do respect their faiths. We just have a different one.  Let them just know that.
Beliefs are ideas and debating ideas is not wrong. I do believe though that a better attitude with hard-core unbelievers is to show them that we love them no matter what.
Love is more powerful than our own words. Our love for others melts people’s hearts in a way that is very effective and it does so in a way that we do not always realize.

    On rationality

People too often oppose rationality to the existence of God when in reality rationality really points to something that is beyond our understanding. Let us just think about the concept of time for example. Can we indefinitely go back in time or was the universe created at one point in time? Is there going to be an end to time? What about space? Is the universe infinite or finite? And if it is finite, are there other universes? Not everything can be explained or known and will ever be explained using our own mind.
It is very good to use our mind in everyday life to solve problems of all sorts. Philosophy uses reason for example to offer some theories about who we are. And by using reason we are naturally led to metaphysics .Rationality has its limits. We are able to explain many things but answers lead to more questions and the only true reality we can see is how limited we are by just using our mind. And our own logic is overwhelmed by the reality of infinite complexity of the environment we live in. Our own precious logic leads us to the realisation that there is something infinite that we cannot possibly grasp. Mystics understand things that rationalists do not.

    On atheism

Unfortunately, we live in a world where rationalism has destroyed the possibility of imagining that some truths cannot be understood by reason alone and many people are led into thinking either that God does not exist or that people are God themselves. In any case, when rational atheists proclaim that there is no God or when many popular cults accept the limits of rationality by deifying the individual and shifting God into ourselves, both, in reality, share the same viewpoint that consists in stating that there is no superior being above us.
Atheists do not believe in God. Or they believe in no-god. They do believe in something, but they just do not have a book of reference on how they should live their lives. If God does not exist, where does love come from? Certainly not solely from the mechanistic and material world that they say we live in. Atheists always have a hard time explaining, for example, what makes music so attractive and where artistic creation comes from. They do not understand that life is more than just being alive. We, believers understand that Jesus is life and all creation comes from God. Atheists understand survival but they do not understand life.
Atheists have their own ideas of what is good and bad. Again, we should ask them where they think their ideas of good and evil come from.  How can they tell if something is morally right or wrong? According to their own logic, it does not really matter if they do good or evil since there is no heaven or hell after all. They just live and they die. End of story.  Stealing, why not? Lying, why not? With such beliefs and no referenced moral principles, the inevitable lifestyle that they end-up having is centred on their own self. They care for people only as long as people care for them. They are people led by feelings and desires, unable to bring any sensible explanation as to the meaning of life and as a consequence are easily angry and depressed when things go wrong even though they might be happy when things go well. They are usually, but not always, the ones who perpetrate the values of this world.
The reason I am being cautious here is because when a person confesses that he or she does not believe in any god, they do not always realise the implications of such a statement. True atheists do not care about being righteous. They only try to avoid having problems in their everyday lives. In reality, many people who proclaim that they do not believe in God still adhere to some moral principles. I think they should thank society, the media, parents, friends and their own upbringing over the influence that all of those have had on them into adopting moral principles and codes of behaviour. In traditional Christian environments atheists might look like they are living in a way that would resemble a Christian lifestyle. But where is their joy in such a life when the pursuit of pleasures is the only guiding principle tin their lives and when they comply with the laws of the land just because they have to, without realising where they come from? Isn’t it a robotic lifestyle?
We need to understand that in the western world in particular, our constitutional and judicial systems are made up of laws that all find their origin in the Jewish Torah and the 10 commandments.
It is indeed very easy for atheists to forget that the underlying principles that are found in the rules that govern our worlds_ and that they usually accept as being sensible to follow_ actually come from God.
It is certain though that, when a whole society proclaims that there is no God and no afterlife, it will soon transform into a lawless society mirroring those that lived in lawlessness between the times of Adam and Moses. As an example, Joseph Stalin, who declared that he did not need any god, killed about 25 million of his own people through purges. And  atheist Mao Zedong killed 60 million people in China.

The importance of living by faith and not by feelings

Circumstances in life can wear us down sometimes and our faith is challenged constantly in our lives. Jesus said that in this life, we will have trouble. Blessed are those who maintain their faith steadily despite unfavourable circumstances. Christians are asked not to waver in their faith. Feelings and impressions that God has abandoned us should be fought back as vigorously as if a snake was trying to bite us. Let not death take its hold on us. And let us ask God to help us through difficult times. Faith is God’s rock for us in our lives.  Let us not rely solely on that other rock that is reason because it is the rock of man. It is certain that without having a God-oriented mind and if everything is going badly in our lives, we will, by following our own logic only come to the conclusion that God has abandoned us and we will grow distant from Him, when He should precisely be at the centre of our lives. Feelings affect our reasoning and we should be careful of negative feelings. Logic is not an enemy of faith since they can live together. Nevertheless, if reason is helpful for processing information in order to make decisions, faith is so much greater as it keeps us from falling from grace and keeps us on the right path.
Without God, we are lost in mid-air and in our fall, we will catch any branch that seems to prevent us from being completely broken, not knowing if the branch is from a good tree. Without God, without the Holy Spirit, we cannot see if the tree has its roots in hell or heaven.  Let us pray that those who are falling quickly catch a branch from the good tree. But it’s only when they finally take some height by climbing it up that they realise that the tree they have taken as their home is the only good one in the whole forest.
Thus, Let us submit ourselves to all the good feelings such as love, compassion, mercy or justice, which bring us closer to God. Let those cries of joy flow through us. And let our faith and the word of God put a rein on all the bad feelings such as anger, hate, desperation revenge, jealousy, greed or egotism which all come from the devil. Praying will keep our heart pure and prevent those bad feelings from finding an expression in ourselves.
The promise of God makes us humble in relying in Him. Doubt does not enter our minds and God will bless us in return. Patience is another name for love. Let our mind never be troubled by anything because it is the will of Satan. Christians walking in truth know that God lets Satan roam the earth.  And we know that he has already lost.
In our lives, when we go through all those good and bad feelings, we can either grow closer to God or further from God. It’s during difficult times that God sees who his true people are.

On beauty, intelligence, knowledge and wealth

There is a word that people really like to be associated with. This word is “intelligence”. A lot of people in life want to have that special thing called intelligence. It flatters the ego and it makes us feel superior when our IQ is above average. It is then common to hear insults such as idiots, imbecile, cretin or retard. People use these words to demonstrate that they have a better understanding of the world around them. Let us not be deceived. Intelligence is to man what wisdom is to God. Intelligence is a relative concept. It is defined by the ability we have to respond to the worldly needs of the society in which we live. But who is more intelligent between he who is awarded a Nobel Prize and then goes to hell or the beggar in the street who never went to school but ends up in Heaven?  Is it not so much better to be wise than intelligent?
Another word is “beauty”. Again it flatters the ego and again insults about physical appearance are rife. Beauty is to man what grace is to God. But who is more beautiful between a top-model who ends up an alcoholic or a paralysed man who insists on thanking God before every meal? Is it not so much better to be graceful than beautiful?
The same comparison can be made with the words” knowledge “and “truth”.  Knowledge is to man what living truth is to God. Who knows more, between the History teacher who delivers his dead academic knowledge to his class, and the heaven- bound child who holds the word of God close to his heart and knows how to live every moment of his life? Who is more ignorant than the other?
One great philosopher said: The only thing I know is that I know nothing. But really, if you know that truth, you know something. That philosopher’s statement is false.
God is infinite and the only truth in that statement is that in comparison to God’s knowledge, it appears that we know nothing. If we know 44 and God knows infinite,
     44 / infinite =0.
If a child knows 5 and a very learned man knows 153, all those numbers divided by the infinity of God is always zero. Let me amend that famous quote and kill the inherent contradiction in the original statement and declare:
The only thing I know is that, apart from the reality of God, I know nothing.
Everything I know testifies to God.
And what Jesus said about knowledge and intelligence and all human attributes that we like to have through experience and work is clearly explained in the gospel of Matthew:  "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”
God‘s grace can be granted to anybody.
Similarly, material wealth gives people the illusion of success. But success is for the world. Salvation of our soul is what makes us successful.  As Jesus said “Whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it”
The world always sets its own standards for what is clever, beautiful, and desirable to know or have. And people suffer all the time from the inequities of this world. Are we on earth to be puppets?
Are we going to let ourselves be manipulated and stay captive to this world and our worldly desires forever? What are we waiting for to break the chains of bondage? Is it not now the time to look at the world with different eyes: the eyes of God.

    On fear

We Christians do not live in fear. We trust in God. God guides us and gives us a spirit not of fear but love, power and a sound mind. God provides everything and He is with us when we remain in Him and also when we do not. So why fear?
Faith kills fear. Let us grow in our faith and seek God all the time.

    On rules and justice

Rules are everywhere. They correspond to the expectations our leaders, society and our entourage have from us.
Let us respect those rules as long as they do not go against our beliefs and our conscience. We might not always agree with all the rules and we might be reluctant to obey certain rules that take our time and energy.  Let the world have its way with us. Let us pay taxes, follow the Highway Code and abide by all the rules. The world has its way but we have ours. Jesus only gave us 2 commandments: To love our God with everything we have and to love others just like ourselves.
The only rules that we should not obey are those that violate Christian moral imperatives.
Also, what can oppress Christians are the restrictions to freedom of speech. But can authorities really silence us when we are alive? They tried to silence Jesus but He certainly did not stay silent.
Blasphemy laws should be abolished everywhere they are. Everybody has the right to say what they want about Jesus, God, Mohammed or Buddha. If people are denied the right to talk about religion, what important things are we going to talk about? Total freedom of speech is important not only because we, Christians, can share the good news and explain in a respectful way how we view the other religions as fake. Unrestrained freedom of speech also gives the opportunity for people from other creeds to attack Christians in a way that allows us to answer. If we are insulted and mocked, it is a blessing. Isn’t it harmless to be laughed at for what we believe? I understand why people laugh about beliefs in extraterrestrial life.  And I equally understand why some other people laugh about the belief that life can only be found on planet Earth.  I certainly prefer being insulted for what I believe as it gives me an opportunity to explain my point of view than for my physical appearance or the way I speak for which I have little control of. People choose to be offended. True Christians are never offended. They follow all the rules and bring life to people wherever they are.
The rules of this world sometimes try to crush us but Jesus’ commandments bring life to ourselves and everybody else. Those 2 commandments bring freedom.
Therefore, if we are convicted for breaking any the world’s rules, let us be convicted. If God is with us, who can be against us? We are free anyway.

Sickness and the importance of not blaming God

Sickness and infirmities are not the work of God. Satan is in this world and he likes to crush people’s spirits and make them feel miserable and turn away from God. This is why faith is important. Let us never be convinced that sickness and infirmities is the will of God. In the Old Testament God did kill many people. It is undeniable. But he did not murder them. He had good reasons to kill those sinful people and to flood the whole world apart from Noah’s family. God had a plan for humanity.
However, it is inconceivable to believe that God wants to destroy us, nowadays. Satan is the destroyer of our lives and Satan brings all the troubles that you are experiencing.
The earth is not heaven or hell. It’s a place in between. Therefore Satan is free to roam and annoy us. What we can do though is free ourselves from Satan in believing in Jesus Christ all the way. Satan is afraid of Jesus and if we live in Jesus, he might try to test us first and we might be under serious attacks but if we hold fast, he will soon understand that he will not win with us, that our faith is too strong. Satan is then going to realise that he is losing his time with us and run away. Fighting demons is great.
If we blame God for the bad things in our life, we believe the father of lies. No way. I am not falling for that.

Jesus said “Do not judge others”. What does it really mean?

As Christians, it is important to understand that God has no favourites, that he likes Christians as much as Muslims or atheists. We stand by his word and our behaviour should imitate that of our God and therefore treat everybody the same way. Therefore, it is wrong to say that someone is stupid or ugly. God does not look at beauty and intelligence the way we do. And God knows who is doing beautiful things and who is acting in a silly manner. But The Day of Judgment has not come yet and as a consequence God is not judging us while we are on earth. Despite our sins, God has no favourites. Clearly God almighty is not judging us for what we are doing at the present moment. He might do later on the final Day of Judgment though. Love is patience and God is love. Could it be that God is patiently waiting for us to turn to Him? Similarly we must be patient with the people who hate us, with the people who do silly and ugly things. Let us not be angry and trust that our patience with them will pay. Let us keep sharing our love to them, just like God keeps sharing His love for us. They might do hateful things but we always respond with love.
Let us be aware that it is not them who sin but the sin within them that makes them do what they do. Deep inside, they know that what they are doing is wrong. They are enslaved by their flesh and surrounded by evil spirits, but the spirit within their souls is hungry for righteousness and life.
Judging others just means treating someone in a way that clearly indicates that he or she has less intrinsic value than someone else. It stems from contempt.
Nevertheless, we are allowed to use our discernment to judge abilities or attitudes. There is nothing wrong in saying to someone that he or she has the wrong attitude or is lacking abilities or knowledge in a certain area. Such judgements, when they are meant to help others or solve a problem are not condemnable.
We only sin when we are badly intentioned. We know when we judge others by looking into our hearts. When we say things to others or about others, do we sincerely mean to help them or keep sending a message that they are inferior?

    Shame, regret and guilt

Those feelings usually arise when we are aware of having done something morally wrong. We experience those feelings when we feel condemned. “I feel stupid for what I have done”.”I should have done that instead.” What I have done is wrong.”
But what is done is done. How can I make sure I do not have those negative feelings that separate me from God? The answer is easy. You cannot. Not until you turn to Christ and ask for forgiveness of your sin and promise not to do it again in a way that you truly mean it.
Let not our past condemn us but let us live in the present. Christians should always forgive everybody and ask for forgiveness. That’s the only way we can live freely, and positively.
Only a relationship with the father can free us from those negative feelings. We are not on earth to feel condemned in death but to give life abundantly to everybody.
Those feelings can arise in everyday life, for example, in the case that we have accepted to do something but did not do it well enough or at all. As soon as we accept to do something, we are morally bound. The most common pattern is that our lack of enthusiasm for doing something can sometimes lead us to disappoint others, because we are falling short of their expectations. This is where we need to be careful about what we accept to do for others. If we accept to do something, we must do it to the best of our abilities and be filled with love.
Let us remember that we, Christians, are servants of the people around us and that we are always truly happy to help. When somebody asks us for a favour, it’s the golden opportunity we have been waiting for to share the love of Christ. Let us respond to people’s requests with overflowing love. And if you feel that some people are using your nice ways to their advantage, let us keep treating them so well that they totally surrender to the love of Christ. People can only resist for so long to such love. We are always in control because we know we do everything for Jesus. When Christ lives in us, all the hearts around us end up melting. When we are on fire, everything around us burns.

    On Christianity and humour

A lot of people say Jesus did not laugh. We have no way of knowing if it is true. What is sure is that he was not mocking people, because mockery originates in contempt. So humour can be used to make our contempt more expressive, but I will argue that it can also be used to make some praising comments more expressive.
“You are a very talented guitar player” and “Jimmy Hendrix no longer rules”
What about these 2 following ones:
“I really love you and I have loved you since the day I met you” and “I stumbled the first time I saw you and in I am still falling”. The latter one uses the image of a person falling which in itself is a little bit funny.
One can clearly see that humour in itself does not carry any meaningful message. Humour is only a way of expressing ideas in a non-direct way. I could say either “I am happy or I am on top of the world.”  I could say “I am really bad at maths” or say “I can hardly add two numbers up” Humour does not carry any good or bad content. It’s like singing instead of talking. It only changes the form of what we are saying. Humour attaches itself to the content of what you say. It uses images that are just as powerful as words if not more.
We certainly can use humour to cheer people up. It’s one of the ways we express our love to the people around us.
So when we make jokes, our intentions are Christian clear (I have just made it up!), not draw attention to ourselves but cheer people up and instil joy in their hearts.
Sadly, many people fall in the trap of making jokes because they are in need of attention as they believe that the world is going to notice their sense of humour. It can be compared to loving people and expecting to be loved in return. It is twisted and it is wrong.

Being a Christian: What does it mean?

It means no more less than giving your life to Christ. And that means concretely being ready to defend the name of Jesus under deadly threat. It is a very serious commitment. It means never denying our faith. Are we ready to do that? If not, we are not Christians. Christ gave his life for us. We should give his life for him so that we can be one with Him. We should always ask ourselves that question: Are we ready to die for Jesus, our saviour?
But being a Christian means much more than that, it means living with Him and like Him and it involves reading about Him and obeying what he said, namely love God with all our heart and love others as ourselves.
It means forgiving those who hurt us always and constantly, and promising not to do the things we know are sinful.
It also means praying and submitting totally to God, asking for the Holy Spirit to guide us and never being ashamed of being a follower of Christ.
It is first and foremost a relationship.
Christians will not get it right straight away. It will take time, endurance and perseverance and persecution to become a good Christian. But with God, everything is possible.
As a reward, we will always have Jesus’ protection, make people envy what we have  everywhere we go  and we will experience some truly amazing moments because the Father is going to use us to bring back his lost sheep to Himself. We will also die to our own self, our own pride. When we actually do that, no one can offend us because we are not living for ourselves, our dignity or our ego anymore but for Jesus and the people around us.

    On atheism

They only try to avoid problems. In reality, we will find people who proclaim that they do not believe in God and still adhere to some moral principles. I think they should thank society, the media, parents, friends and their own upbringing over the influence that all of those have on them into adopting moral principles and codes of behaviour. Therefore in traditional Christian environments atheists might look like they are living in a way that would resemble a Christian lifestyle. But where is the joy in such a life when the pursuit of pleasures is the only guiding principle they truly adhere to in their hearts and when laws are to be respected just to avoid problems? Isn’t it the lifestyle of a slave?

So humour can be used to make our contempt more expressive, but I will argue that it can also be used to make some praising comments or even a declaration of love more expressive. Please consider these 2 sentences:
“You are a very talented guitar player” and “Jimmy Hendrix no longer rules”
What about these 2 following ones:
“I really love you and I have loved you since the day I met you” and “I stumbled the first time I saw you and in this love I am still falling”.
I use humour all the time to cheer people up. It’s one of the ways I use to express my love to the people around me.

    Christian philosophy

Nevertheless, the interest that people have for money is too often preventing those truths from being revealed to us.

Your conscience is the most important thing you have after the Holy Spirit.

    On atheism

Nevertheless, if reason is helpful for processing information in order to make decisions, faith is so much greater as it keeps us from falling and keeps us on the right path.

But who is more intelligent between him who is awarded a Nobel Prize and then goes to hell or the beggar in the street who never went to school but ends up in Heaven?  It is so much better to be wise than intelligent.
Another word is “beauty”. Again it flatters the ego and again insults about someone’s physical appearance are rife. Beauty is to man what grace is to God. But who is more beautiful between a top-model who ends up an alcoholic or a paralysed man who insists on giving grace before every meal? Isn’t it so much better to be graceful than beautiful?
The same comparison can be made with the words” knowledge “and “truth”.  Knowledge is to man what living truth is to God. Who knows a little bit more than the other one,  between the History teacher who delivers his dead academic knowledge to his class, and the child who holds the word of God close to his heart and knows how to live every moment of his life and is granted eternal life. Who is more ignorant than the other?
One great philosopher said: The only thing I know is that I know nothing. But really, if you know that, you know something, which would make that statement false. Let me amend that famous quote and kill the inherent contradiction in the original quote and declare: The only thing I know is that, apart from the reality of God, I know nothing.
Are we going to let ourselves be manipulated and stay captive to this world for ever? What are we waiting for to break the chains of bondage? It’s always time to look at the world with different eyes: the eyes of God.

You can only resist for so long to such love. You are always in control because you know you do everything for Jesus. When Christ lives in us, all the hearts around us end up melting. When we are on fire, everything around us burns.

Christians will not get it right straight away. It will take time, endurance and perseverance to become a good Christian. But with God, everything is possible.
As a reward, we will always have Jesus’ protection, make people envy what we have  everywhere we go  and we will experience some truly amazing moments because the Father is going to use us to bring back his lost sheep to Himself. We will also die to our own self, our own pride. When we actually do that, no one can offend you because you are not living for yourself, your dignity or your ego anymore but for Jesus.

    She reached "Nirvana" at 4:04!

  92. R.... S....

I like how this song has musical rhythm like those of the oldies songs by artist like The Five Stairsteps and The Drifters. It's good to see contemporary pop music dialing back to the good golden days of classic music.

  93. H.... L....

    Ace!! >.<

  94. s.... ....

Where was the desert scenes filmed??It looks like the high desert in california

  95. l.... ....

The song is nice but the vid is ridiculous, as all the "l'm trying to look hot and I'm faking the sex gaze" videos. And the fake wind on her face is just topping the cake.

    l.... ....

    Shut the fuck up

    l.... ....

    @Hey There
classy as hell, extremely polite, now I'm so inclined to become a fan of the artist and befriend people like you.

    l.... ....

I thought the video would be as inspirational and powerful as the song.. but it's just her trying to be cute. cool too I guess

    l.... ....

the video could be all the director's idea. She was asked to do some modeling for Select Models in 2011 and said she just did if the fun and fashion. "I'd never really thought of myself as a model, but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens." - Eliza Doolittle.

    l.... ....

lizbennetgenova To be fair, all of her videos are very sexual, because her clothes are very skimpy every time.

  96. t.... f....

I'm totally in love with the beat

    t.... f....

    I agree!!

  97. T.... N....

    nice song <3
