Jesus please help us as a people especially the saved believers to be more transparent about what we are going through and have gone through! I am a believer and I still have dealt with suicidal thoughts in the past but to You Jesus be praised You delivered me out of that dark pit but people need to hear our stories and testimonies! Christians are not people who have never had imperfections but we are people Who have accepted The One Who is Perfect! Thank God for Mr. Donny Hathaway! I would like to have met him.

Donny, my spiritual father, you taught me love, how to be free , when I was in a dark place, God sent your music to me, I won't ever forget that . I try to do things that would make you proud, I know you can still hear me R.I.P. to a hero of soul music, and a great mind.

As a singer,I have drawn much of my inspiration from artists of my parents' generation, such as Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, etc. It's hard for me to even sing a lot of their music without crying, because they TRULY FELT the messages they sent, and that love flowed through their music. It also makes me cry when I think of how Donny took his own life, not realizing what a great impact he had on the world and even future generations. I was a little kid when he died, but I still remember how upset my mom was and many others. PLEASE, if you suffer from depression, seek help. When you take your life, you DO affect others around you.

Ive listened to his music often reflecting on my childhood. Remembering both the good and bad times of growing up and enjoying the great music my elders brought to my soul. What a pleasure to enjoy this classic.
