I remember buying this album in 1976 and hearing the voice on this song. After listening to the first four songs sung in Donna's breathy soprano, I thought, "Who is this?". Then, I realized it was her! Been a fan ever since!
This lovely lady could sing any genre with those gilded pipes of hers, even though she was known as the “Queen of Disco”. Even people who don’t like Disco appreciate Moroder and Donna Summer. She was an angel, and a stunningly beautiful woman. My heart shattered to pieces when I learned of her passing.
Took me 40 years to appreciate the B side of her first album, really. I was 13 when it was released and I bought it. Still have it! Love Whispering Waves!
Can't have enough of this song. It is an absolute gem by the incomparable DONNA SUMMER!

This songs brings up great memories of growing up in Lagos in the great disco era of the 70s. One of my favorite songs of the great Donna Summer. I loved listening to DJs playing this song on the radio ..... RIP Donna Summer!
