You guys have to stop defining women from your point of view. What do we know about this Amanda? Nothing. No description. She's everything unless an elaborated character. She's never mentioned by her own, always with the character that the singer is playing.
I would like to remind that a woman isn't here to be the light of a man's life, we would expect a lil more for someone who's the title of the song. I also remind that saying she would be happier as a gentleman's wife is 1: openly confessing that she isn't happy with the main character and it can be very dangerous (more than 30% of women over the world lived or is living domestic abuse), 2: referring to her as an object (the 's is the possession) and 3: why would her need to be someone' s wife to be happy? Can't she be happy on her own? 4: a gentleman refers to a high education and social class, saying that she would be better with a gentleman reinforces the idea that women are looking for a social status.
So naming your kid Amanda after that song is definitely a bad idea (+ thinking about the wedding of your daughter since her birth is definitely not healthy, get a therapist)
